Waking the Demon
It's about a girl who is a demon, but most importantly the death dealer, in other words, she determines your faith. And she reunites with an unexpected person from her past. Although, she can't remember, why? And what was he trying to make her forget? And the picture on here, is what I imagine what she looks like. And if this person is gorges to me. Over the next couple chapters, I'll add other pictures of other people.

Out of nowhere, Mr.Hallman slams his hands on my desk, "MISS ASYA AZRAEL!" He yells in face. I didn't jump up or scream, I just opened my eyes and straightened my posture. "What?" I simply replied. I was surprise he used my whole name. I use this name for this school, Asya means born in a time of grief in Swahili and Azrael means Angel of death in Koran. My middle name is Atropine which means a poison. He smiles a wicked grin at me and asks, "When was the first Salem witch trail?" I buckled out in laughter. Was he really asking me this? I stopped laughing and seen everyone was staring at me so, I thought I'd might as well give them something to laugh at, so I replied, "The first trial for witchcraft under the Court of Oyer and Terminer was on May 27, 1692.
Is there a harder question you could ask me?" I returned his smile with more wickedness. Mr.Hallman backed up, he doesn't really like Gothic people like me, but he seems to be thinking of a harder question. I started to giggle again, and I heard whisper's: Freak, I bet she was there, she probably accuse them of being witches, I bet she is a witch. They snickered. I smiled and turned to look at the four prep's sitting behind me. They stopped almost suddenly. I turned back towards the front of the class catching that same guys eyes again. He had dark black hair that passed his ears some, slightly tanned skin, dark chocolate-brown eyes, full lips and was a bit muscular. He was smiles, showing his dimples. I winked at him and finished turning around.
Mr. Hallman was leaning against his desk and finally spoke, "What caused the Salem witch trials?" He tried smiling but my smile was still bright on my face. I waited a heartbeat then answered, "There really was no one cause for the Salem witch trials. A combination of events and factors helped in the creation of a climate for the birth and growth of the trials. A recent smallpox outbreak, the revocation of the Massachusetts Bay Colony charter by Charles II and the constant fear of Indian attacks helped in creating anxiety among the early Puritans that God was punishing them. This fear of punishment established a fertile atmosphere in which a case of possible witchcraft could easily be interpreted by the Puritans as the cause of God's wrath. Add to these events the economic, political, imaginations and fears of the people, family feuds and religious factors of the time, it is easier to understand how the Salem witch trials grew and prospered for almost a whole year." Every body turned to stare at me. Even Mr.Hallman's mouth was open with surprised.
I mean, people would know this if they paid attention. "Okay, Good. Name all the people who died in prison after accused of being a witch." He put a smile on now, he really thinks he has me? I laugh a light laugh and shake my head and began naming them in order, "Sarah Osborne, Roger Toothaker, Lyndia Dustin, Ann Foster, and they think other people died but, the sources to predict this, isn't there." I smiled that devilish grin again, but he still smiled. I stopped smiling, I know I didn't miss a person. "You missed one John Willard." He laughed. I gave him a confused look, "No, he was hanged on August 19." I smiled again. Mr.Hallman's face began to turn a red color. He was mad, I could feel his body energy shift. He turned and went to his computer, and then he exhaled lowly. "Fine, you win this one." The class howled in laughter.
No one has ever proved him wrong until I came to this school about two months ago. I just stopped smiling cause I didn't think anything was funny. What, I just helped them learn about history, and all they care about his a teacher getting proved wrong. I looked over and saw the same guy not smiling either, but when he caught my eye he smiled again and nabbed his head.
After than, I turned in my seat and began looking out the window again. I started to drift off, I turned my wrist up to look at my watch and saw we had forty minutes left in the class. I started playing with the whether, I made the sky cloudy, then let the sun shine through, and even made it seem as if it was getting dark way to early. Then the bell rang. I grabbed my red book bag and followed the people out the door. I stepped into the hallway and fought the sudden energy around me. I followed everyone until I reached my locker. I began turning the lock and it opened. I open the locker and put the lock back on. I put my book bag on the ground and pulled out my History book and biology book and put them in my locker but my thick history book fell out of my hands.
I went to pick it up but the same guy from history had already picked it up and held it out to me. "Need any help?" I smiled at his words. I grabbed my book, "Thanks, I didn't mean to drop it." We both laughed some. I closed my locker and draped my bag over my shoulders. He extended his hand, "I'm Gehenna. I do believe your name is Asya Azrael?" He smiled. I felt my jaw drop, Gehenna means a version of Hell in the new testament. I blinked and smiled, "Yeah. Um. Can I ask you something? Do you know what your name means?" I couldn't help but ask. His smile deepened, "I know what it means. My mother told me I ruined her happiness when she found out she was pregnant with me. So, I guess I really am a version of Hell." We both laughed together. I can't believe he just told me that. Not a lot of people talk to me.
So what do I have to lose, "Is there something you need or want?" I keep my tone light, so hopefully he wouldn't take it the wrong way. He energy changed some, "I want to walk you to your next class." I smiled up at him. "Okay, sure." We began walking then we turned to the main hallway. It began to fill with kids, and people were pushed together. "So, where did you move from?" He kept the conversation light. I smiled, "I moved from Sweden." I didn't lie, it was the truth. Then my bare wrist touched his arm, a shock of electricity shook my body. I looked up at him and saw his smile. Did he just feel that? No, no, he couldn't have. But, the energy just wasn't human, he couldn't be. The people began to slow down even more.
I looked down and let my black and red hair fall in my face. "....come?" I didn't realize he was talking to me. "I'm sorry, can you repeat that again, I spaced out." I laughed a nervous laugh. He laughed and said, "Me and some friends are getting together this weekend. And thought I'd ask if you'd like to come." He didn't seem to care that he had to repeat. I felt my jaw drop, I couldn't. Saturday was the full moon, when the demon takes over completely, until I feed. Plus, with me being the death dealer during the day sometimes, it was so hard being social and business like all at once. It was Thursday, so I had two days. "What day?" I asked. "Hm, Saturday." He replied. Crap, then I needed to go home and make sure that I had a blood Donner before I agreed going out with him and his friends. "How about give me your number and I'll call you and tell you if I can or can't." I lifted my head and looked straight. "Ugh, sure.
Give me your hand." Then he pulled a pen from behind his ear, that I didn't see, and wrote his number on my hand. I looked to my left and saw the six thousand hallway sign. I turned to him, "Okay, well. This is my stop, so...thanks walking me to class." I smiled. He smiled back at me, "Anytime." He replied and began to walk off. Now the hallways was starting to clear. I stepped forward and put my hand on his arm. He turned to me with a light smile. "Hey. Why do you want me go out with you and your friends?" I couldn't help but asking. No one has asked me on a date in a while. He let his smile slip, then he caught it, "I felt bad that no one was talking to you, and I wanted to ask you out since you came to the school.
And I want you there for me, not my friends." I felt my cheeks start to blush. "Okay, I'll call you Gehenna." His name sounded funny on my tongue, but cute. "I'll be waiting, Asya." He waved and turned from me. His tone with me was so innocent, so venerable, so human. I watched as he turned down the other way to the main hallway, so he must have a class on the other side of the school, and he walked me all the way to my class, he was going to be late. Then the bell rang. Crap. I walked into Mrs.Hallman's class and walked to the back, where I took my seat and lay my head against the closet and daydream about this weekend.
