Wait The Day Away
This poem was written in my journal during the summer break between June 2007 - Jan 08...I kept writing random sentences in all my pages and I began to put them together. Then I edited them away and I created a nice little story line to follow but still kept the basic themes intact....I hope you like it! And please tell me what you think bye!!
The boy sits and waits the day away
She's at home trying to think of the things he has to say
He stares at her soul through the picture on the monitor
She just sits at home beginning to wonder
"Is this all real? Or was it fake? Did he lie, was he like the rest?"
The boy begins to think "was I right? Will I f*ck up? Should I even do this?"
A few months pass and the questions remain unanswered,
He still sits at home staring at her soul through those gorgeous eyes
She's moved on already dating better guys
She wonders "what was his name? Who was he? I hope he's ok"
All he can think is "why did I say no? Why did I let her go? Why didn't i make an attempt to chase?"
Time is not a factor now, they both moved away, far far away
He still remember the soul he once wished for
No longer there, no longer his to hold
She still remembers the boy but the memory is to far away
She knows the face but can't recall the name
They both wish things would go back and be the same
But they could help it this was their fate
She sits at work and wonders "whatever happened to him? Did he remain the same?"
He sits at the park and all he says is "so much for waiting to find your soulmate"
