The must visit National landmark: Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island and Ellis Island Immigration Museum on Ellis Island are located slightly over one mile from Lower Manhattan in Lower New York Harbor. Liberty and Ellis Islands are open 364 days a year, except December 25th. The operating hours are adjusted according to seasons and holiday periods, so the timings will vary accordingly. The months between June to September are the ones experiencing highest visitation.
