Visions and Creatures aka A Teenage Crisis Prologue

Prologue

In every story there is a beginning. It will forever start off as, "Once upon a time…" This story also has a beginning but as you can tell it doesn’t start with that cheesy first line. This particular story doesn’t start "upon a time". This story starts before even time knew it itself existed. Our story starts in a place where you know as "heaven". This is totally false. It is not called heaven. Its true name is Couther. Well in Couther there were angels and a Mighty Presence. The angels did the bidding of the Mighty Presence. Their jobs were to simply guide the dead people through Couther no matter what deed they committed.

During this time a certain angel named Mammon decided to promote himself ruler of the angels. Some angels followed him into his trickery and evil. Most of the angels however tried their best to stop him. The Mighty Presence, of course, intervened when he found out Mammon’s plot to rule the angels. He cast Mammon down into the oblivion where he was left nothing but a fiery pit to make his home. Mammon was furious with the Mighty Presence and in spite of him he stole all those dead people who did bad things to live with him. They were given a choice, join his army to someday take on the Mighty Presence and his angels or be tortured for eternity. Most chose to follow the army. Some were too soft hearted to seek revenge on someone they did not even know, thus they were tortured.

Now it so happened that one beautiful dead person, a woman named Gertrude Morgan, who stole Mammon’s heart (or whatever he had left of it). He brought her back to life to rule with him and be his queen. To declare his love he made a necklace for her made from the fiery pit that he was shunned down to live in. It sparkled from all the intense tears that spilled from his forgotten victims. Its only gem shone with an unexpected exuberance of all the pessimism of hell. He vowed she would have his first-born seed so that he can rule the living beings on earth while he ruled the heavens.

She deceived him however and cheated on him with many men, but mostly with an ancient wizard. It was to a man with unspeakable gifts in magic. Not illusions to the eye but true magic that astounded Gertrude herself. It was during her infidelity that she conceived a beautiful baby girl with Mammon, whom she named Fascia. The wizard was filled with rage for not having produced her first-born seed that he killed Gertrude. He stole the necklace when he was captivated by its sheer quality. Mammon vowed to gain vengeance for Gertrude even though she had deceived him.

The wizard on the other hand, kept the Necklace for over thirty-five hundred years until he had his first-born son whom he gave the stolen necklace to. He has kept it ever since.

Fascia grew up to have an only girl who was just as beautiful as her. The traits past down to the descendants were beautiful only girl children. The daughter also conceived an only girl whom she named Geisha. Geisha conceived an only girl named Carissa. Carissa conceived another only girl whom she named Magana.
