Symptoms of a Viral Infection
The symptoms of viral infection depend on the virus and it varies from person to person. The symptoms given below are common and are observed as an effect of viral infection.
. . In Adults
Consumption of food containing virus, i.e. food poisoning, can cause virus infection in adults. The most commonly observed symptoms of viral infection in adults are vomiting, diarrhea, stomach ache, constipation and indigestion. Other symptoms like fever, sore throat, cough and common cold are also observed. Viral infection also causes the weakening of the immune system and the person tends to lack energy. Complete body ache will also be experienced by the person suffering from viral infection.

The symptoms of viral infection in children are not different from that observed in the adults. The most commonly observed symptoms of viral infection in children are headache and fever. Along with this, you will also observe symptoms like runny nose, vomiting and diarrhea. Some children might also experience sore throat, stomach ache and cough. They might tend to feel tired and weak. In some cases, the face appears to be pale.

It is difficult to understand the symptoms of viral infection in toddlers as they find it difficult to express what is actually happening to them. But, if you observe the symptoms given below in your child, he might be suffering from viral infection. Rashes might develop on his skin and the baby might appear to be irritated. Also, you will observe a change in his eating habits and he will tend to eat very less. Along with this, the infant will cry continuously. Other viral infection symptoms in toddlers are lethargy and fatigue. In some cases, the toddler might become sensitive to light. They might not be interested even in playing or performing their other daily activities. Other symptoms which are observed in children and adults will be observed in toddlers as well.
People with weak immune system are more prone to viral infections. Hence, take care that you eat healthy food in order to strengthen your immune system. Also, if your family members are suffering from viral infection, make sure that you feed them with nutritious and light food. You can also give them different fruit juices to drink.
If you observe these viral infection symptoms, then make it a point to take medical treatment before the condition worsens. If left untreated, viral infection can lead to serious disease and hence, proper care should be taken.
