How to Repair a Vinyl Shower Curtain?
You must have observed that vinyl shower curtains mostly tear at the top near the hooks. These tears or holes can be repaired by some simple methods.
Vinyl Tape: The seemingly ordinary vinyl tape can be of great use for vinyl shower curtain repair. You need to use a transparent vinyl tape or you can even find the color that matches the color of the curtain. You can even make use of the duct tape. Before you begin repairing the holes, clean the surface of the curtain. Now cover the holes with vinyl tape on both sides. If the holes are completely covered, you can make a new hole with a hole puncher for inserting the hooks. After you complete the process, rehang the bathroom shower curtain.
Vinyl Shower Curtain Repair Kit: Vinyl patch kits used for repairing air mattresses, pool liners and other vinyl products can be used for vinyl shower curtain repair. Firstly clean the surface of the curtain that needs to be repaired as above. Then peel and stick, and you are done with it. You neither need glue or other adhesive material nor do you need cement. Vinyl shower curtain repair kits are easier to use and do not create any mess.
PVC Cement or Hot Glue: PVC cement or hot glue can also be used for repairing vinyl shower curtains. Follow the same cleaning method and place a vinyl tape at the back of the tear. Now apply PVC cement on the area and leave it to set. The hot glue is also to be used in a similar manner. After applying, set it to harden. When it is set, remove the masking tape and rehang the curtains.
