Vinyl Mini Blinds
Mini blinds also referred to as horizontal mini blinds, versatile or micro blinds, etc. came into existence in 1980. This article gives you a brief overview about it.
The main use of vinyl mini blinds is to limit the sun rays and light reaching the room. You can adjust the blinds according to the amount of light you want. Vinyl mini blinds are preferred in areas which are highly humid, like bathrooms and kitchens. To increase the durability of the blinds, always tilt them horizontally before raising or lowering them. For irregular sized windows, you can order them to be made specially for your windows. The slats are tied together with a string and operated by a cord. To unlock the blinds, pull it towards the left, till it is unlocked. For locking the blind, move the cord towards the right, the blinds will be locked automatically. The lock is crash proof. Safety of children is enhanced by providing break away tassels.
Some of the vinyl blinds contain health hazardous substances like lead (lead acts as a stabilizing agent), which can cause harm to pregnant women and children. Lightweight vinyl mini blinds are the cheapest among all vinyl mini blinds, but they are not much durable because the slats might sag. The drawback of vinyl blinds is that they are neither airtight nor do they have insulating power.
The only difference between vinyl blinds and vinyl mini blinds is that, the slats in vinyl mini blinds are small as compared to vinyl blinds. The distance between the slats in vinyl mini blinds is very less. The purpose of less space between the slats is to have better control over the sunlight entering the room. Modern vinyl mini blinds are developed in such a way that they are not damaged by sun rays.
