While researching a spot for our next vacation, my husband and I were extremely surprised at the great prices available for villas and apartments in Spain for rental.There are a number of websites that specialize in rentals of private property. We were considering Tenerife and found several owners who were renting their own villas there. We found two in particular that we thought sounded especially nice and would give us an authentic Spanish holiday.

Once we were prepared and the packing was complete, we went to the airport. We were so thrilled to finally be taking a vacation, our first in several years and our first ever outside of the country together. Security posed no difficulties, and the airplane was quite cozy. The flight didn't seem nearly as long as the schedule said that it would be.

When we arrived in Spain, we were far from disappointed! The Gay Villa Spain that we had rented was wonderful. All that we needed was there, including a kitchen that was stacked with pots and pans, but honestly, we did not use them, since dining out was so inexpensive! It helped a great deal that we spent more time resting by the pool and lying on the beach, especially with all the wonderful chiringuitos to eat at, on hand. They satisfied our appetites. It was a wonderful experience, and we cannot recommend enough that you book directly through the owners. We put into our search engines apartments and villas in Spain for rent, and bingo: many websites that advertised private owners' properties showed up.
