Village Days

Just about the day, the night, and the decision's I make.
Stomp the streets and find a perch
Sit down, wait, and watch the haze
Clouds drift by and float away
Lit up by the sunlight's blaze

I'm just a boy in this country town
I follow my gut and shimmy around
Watch the way the sun's position
Interacts and entwine's with the day's transition

Night falls down and still I stay
Day has left but still I play
Mimic the trees, with wind I sway
Lay down to sleep in the field of hay

No tossing, no turning
I don't stir in my sleep
The sun isn't burning
Yet I still feel the heat

The warm of summer is back again
I walk the streets at night and then
Come back home with a contented sigh
Sleep with a smile, I will not cry
