Vile Amity 9
Rosalie Sierra had an exceptionally normal life, being a homosexual homicide detective, her sister a deranged psychopath on the loose, her mother and father murdered by her sister's ex-fiancé, Fredric when she was 14. Now she's fallen in love with an assassin who was sent to kill her in the first place, and blessed (or cursed) with eternal life. Suddenly, her oh-so-normal life takes a turn for the worse.
She opened the door and felt the cold morning air brush against her face. She would take a walk to clear her mind. The street lamps were still on as she gripped the edges of her coat and pressed them tight around her waist. Her heals clicked against the dull cobblestones she walked in time to a song repeating in her head
If we're so much the same, like I always hear
Why such different fortunes and fates?
Some of us live in a cloud of fear
Some live behind iron gates.
When her mind struck the chorus something sunk in.
Some are blessed and some are cursed
The golden one or scarred from birth
While others only see the worst
Such a lot of pain on the earth.
Her heels clicked and the solo came as she thought. Rush could never be more right. She realized that Liam and Damien could not choose their fate, fate was thrust upon them. Suddenly her walk to clear her head only seamed to bring on more tangled thoughts. She could treat this new life as a merely this; a blessing or a curse. Damian thought of his powers to change people as just something he had to cope with, while Liam deemed it execration.
She followed the rhythm with the sidewalk until she saw in the distance, a flashing strobe light. The song was so loud in her head and she was so caught up in her thoughts that she hadn't noticed the booming bass sound that now seemed to be vibrating off of every building. She could feel the sound pulse through her limbs. Influencing her heart to beat to the rhythm of it.
She had come upon a rave club.
As she walked closer she noticed the name of the club was Klub Verführerisch. The music called to her and her mind wouldn't react. Her feet decided for her. They moved themselves towards the constant flashing of lights and the synthetic sound. Her hand moved without her consent. Reaching for the door handle with trembling fingers. Before she could grasp the handle the door burst open, smacking her square in the jaw. She fell on her backside.
A boisterous group of 4 men, around their early twenties stumbled out. Their faces smeared with black lipstick. Their eyelids dripping with wet and colorful eye shadow. One man noticed her, sitting dazed on the ground blood running down the back of her throat. He regarded her, stoned out of his mind. He squinted and wiped some of his yellow eyeliner off his cheek. The mans hair was neatly spiked and dyed with purple and yellow hair dye. On his head, carefully arranged to accommodate the spikes, he had set a blue fedora. He had a deep German accent.
"Men, it seems we have knocked this poor girl off her feet."
The rest of the men turned and swayed, trying to keep their balance as the man who had spoken removed his hat and made a low, clumsy bow.
"my sincerest apologies miss."
The other three mumbled their pardons.
The man extended a hand with white nail polish towards Rose.
"some help my dear?"
She reluctantly took his hand and he yanked her up easily. His hand came around her back and he pulled her tight against his chest. On any other night she would have sacked him but since she was already about to do something crazy she let him have his moment. She decided she would like to have a little fun to.
Rose looked at him from under her eyelashes and chuckled. Low and seductive.
"I am absolutely fine thank you sir." she regarded him with authority and draped her arm around his neck.
He raised his eyebrows and grinned, glancing towards his friends.
"I am Vincent and these are my comrades; Austin, Dominic and Jared." he gestured to each one with a long pale hand and they nodded as their names were called.
Rose planted a hand on her chest and decided not to use her own name.
"I am Eve." she said changing her name quickly.
"Eve" he rolled her name off his tongue toying with it. He gave her a grin that said he didn't believe her, but wasn't going to push it.
"We've just come out for a quick smoke, would you grace us with your presence for the rest of the night?"
Rosalie pondered the thought of joining them for the rest of the night. Liam and Damien had no leash on her, she could do whatever she wanted. Besides, she had only known the pair of them for no more than a day. Yet her connection with them was so strong.
Today she felt like being bad.
Liam and Damian could come and get her if they saw fit too, but for now, she was going to enjoy herself.
And possibly anger a few people at the same time.
