Victorian Wedding Gowns Great for Today
With so many different types of wedding dresses available it can be quite overwhelming trying to decide on what style and design to choose. There are many websites out there that we view different types of gowns and give their opinion as to what is in the latest fashion. But, I suppose everyone is different and not everybody wants to be up with the latest fashion type wedding dresses.
I particularly love the Victorian era, and if I was a bride getting married these are the types of gowns that I would choose. I remember not that long ago I was in a store that sells a lot of vintage products they had a nice collection of wedding dresses down the back in the right-hand corner. One particular dress caught my eye, which was made from white satin and strapless. It had a really nice veil and simply looked exquisite in any wedding ceremony, and I could just picture an old country chapel would be a perfect setting to wear a gown of this quality.
The funny thing was about two or three weeks later I got a call from somebody who was getting married in a few weeks and was looking for a Victorian dress but was finding it quite difficult to locate one. I suggested we meet, because I wanted to bring her along to the store I had been in previously. Couple of days later we met up, and I could not tell her where I was going to bring her. She was pleasantly surprised when we went into the vintage store it was down a side street and, unless you knew exactly what was there it was the kind of store that you simply pass by. I think I had read a review on it a while back, and I was the only reason I knew where to go. So anyway in the event she was flabbergasted by the selection of Victorian gowns that they had been available.
This woman was delighted to finally find a shop that had a dress that could possibly be her dream gown that she had been dreaming about all her life. Marriage can be stressful enough at times but even planning to get why it can sometimes be even more stressful and is of course a real test before. She tried on a couple of different dresses the first one was rather large, and as she had a very slim waist it has done absolutely nothing for her.
This was going to be a particularly formal affair, and she was going to have two bridesmaids also. Her chief bridesmaid was for her sister who was identical in size, so she could purchase this at the same time also, which of course makes it much easier. I, particularly liked the lace and my friend was the happiest girl in the world and even better when she realized that the price was even less than what she was expecting to pay. She had been to a couple of bridal stores recently, but they were charging extortionate prices and with the price of weddings nowadays she like others has to completely watch her budget.
