Vampire Wedding Ch 5 Rewrite
The truth. I know I should've done this before but R.I.P Michael Jackson. I was a big fan of his and it saddens me to know that a great artist like him has passed. Now he's moon walking in heaven! God Bless MJ!
Chapter Five
Ryan was enjoying watching Meghan’s parents squirm. They’ve been lying to her her whole life and he was enjoying bringing that lie forward. And because his life was turned upside down because of their lie so he figured some pay back was in order.
"W-who are your parents?" That came from Anna. She looked ready to bolt, but was trying not to make it seem obvious. The fact that she was shaking didn’t help her any.
He wasn’t really paying attention to Meghan, but out of the corner of his eye he saw her looking back and forth between both her parents and him. Ryan could tell that Kirk saw something familiar in Ryan. Maybe he should help them out a little.
"I’m sure you don’t remember them." He said shifting his body so that he was leaning more comfortably against the kitchen counter. "They said the last time you seen them was right before Meghan was born."
Ryan saw the flash of dawning register in Kirk’s eyes as he realized who his parents were. Anna on the other hand was puzzled a bit longer. She took a good look at Ryan before recognition settled in her eyes too.
That’s right. He thought. I’m-
"You’re the Villisaci boy." Kirk answered. His voice was ice cold and he looked ready to kill.
Recognizing a potential threat, Ryan’s instincts took over and his body crouched down ready to fight and a hiss escaped his throat.
His fangs was just about to come out when he heard the frightened gasp.
As quick as a whip his head snapped towards the sound. He saw Meghan’s pale face twisted up in fright. Any other time he would have laughed out loud at her for being so pitiful. For some reason seeing her frightened made him want to protect her at all cost.
She is your mate. You can feel it. Take down the rest and make her yours. Now!
Ryan quickly got control of his other half, his beast. He discarded what he had said and any emotions he felt for Meghan. He reminded himself that he wouldn’t be in this mess if it weren’t for her.
Look at him readying to attack you. Ryan’s eyes darted to Kirk who was indeed in a ready to fight position. He wants her for himself he wants to take her. Another hiss almost escaped Ryan’s lips before he realized what was happening.
Taking a deep breath he got his beast to back down and stood up straight.
"Yes I am Ryan Villisaci. I am here to-"
"To obey the contract," Anna finished. Her voice was shaky. He knew that she knew it was going to happen.
Meghan’s POV…………
"So he was telling the truth," Meghan whispered to herself astonished.
Meghan felt like she was going to faint. Every since Ryan showed her his…other side she felt that he could have been telling the truth. Now that her mother actually confirmed that he was telling the truth she felt sick.
Now Meghan truly realized that there was a HUGE difference between suspecting the truth and knowing the truth.
As the conversation between her parents and Ryan continued Meghan thought about what all of this had meant. This meant that her mother and father were……
She needed to sit down. The world was spinning and the feeling of being deceived soon settled over her. Everything she knew was a lie!
"Meghan?" her eyes flew open as she heard her name being called by her mother.
She looked at all the faces that were gathered and watching her.
Her father’s brown eyes darkened in anger and worry. His blonde hair was in disarray from his sleep being disturbed. Her mother’s hazel eyes that were so much like her own showed how scared she was. Meghan knew she was trying to be strong. Then there were Ryan’s crystal blue eyes. At first it looked as if he didn’t care about what had just happened. But his eyes showed that there was concern. She wondered if the concern was for her sake or not.
"So….You was telling the truth." She said to Ryan.
Meghan shook her head in disbelief. Thought after thought raced through her mind making her dizzy. With trembling legs she took a step towards one of the chairs and plopped down.
"And that means you guys are…are" Meghan swallowed and took a deep breath.
"Are you going to tell her about what happened or shall I?" That was Ryan talking to Anna and Kirk.
"Can’t you just let it go?" Kirk said rising from his seat and walking over to where Anna was.
"I mean, we’re human now. Doesn’t that make the contract void?"
"No!" Ryan barked back. "Our family is at war with your," he looked at Anna when he said "your". "clan. In order to keep the peace we need Lyson’s heir."
Meghan frowned at the mention of a new name. "Who is Lyson?" she looked at each person and noticed that her mother and father’s face was ashen white.
Ryan chuckled. "I’ll give you one last chance to tell her everything or I will." Meghan looked questioningly at her parents.
"Tell me what? What else do you have to tell me?" she looked back and forth between Anna and Kirk. Both refused to look at her. Her mother was wringing her hands nervously.
"Kirk," her mother started. "Is not your father."
"What!" Meghan gasped. "What do you mean he’s not my father?"
"When I was pregnant with you our clan was at were with the Mach clan. The Villisaci’s clan."
Kirk reached for Anna’s hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
"Your father’s name was Lyson and he was the leader of our clan. When he was killed I was afraid for our lives so we fled." She reached towards Meghan, but Meghan jerked away from her.
"So basically you have been lying to me my whole life?" Meghan’s eyes burned with the tears that were gathering in her eyes.
Meghan stood up and walked away from them. She needed some space. Then something else popped in her head.
She whirled around and stared daggers at Kirk. "So where do you tie into all of this?" Her voice was cold and angry.
"I was your father’s assistant." He stated. "I was to look after your mother while your father was away and take care of business. My real name is Klayton."
"Did that business entitle marrying my mother as soon as he was out of the picture?" she snapped.
He flinched, but her mother wasn’t having it.
"Don’t talk to your father like that."
"He’s not my father!" she shouted back. Pain settled in her heart and finally tears fell.
"You lied to me. Both of you lied to me. Did it ever occur to anyone of you that maybe I should know about this kind of stuff?"
"Meghan," Kirk started. "The last thing we ever wanted to do was hurt you-"
"Oh yeah right," Meghan sneered. "Now what does this contract have to do with anything?"
"By the time I was pregnant with you," her mother began. "The war had been going on for years. In order to keep the peace we met up with the Villisaci’s and made a peace treaty contract."
"The contract stated that you and I will be married as soon as we came to age. Our clans will keep the peace until that time." Ryan added. "When your father was murdered and your mother fled the other’s of your clan became angry and didn’t hesitate to restart the war."
Meghan didn’t know what to think. She couldn’t believe all that
she had learned in the past five minutes. The people she thought she thought she knew turned out to be absolute strangers.
"So now what happens?" Meghan asked Ryan.
Ryan pushed off from the counter and walked over to where she was.
"Now we go back to my house obey the contract and get married."
Meghan closed her eyes to block everyone out. She also did it to think. She thought about what her life was like before this night and what it would be after this night.
She could feel her parents- or parent and a stranger- gaze on her. Most of all she could feel Ryan’s gaze on her. His gaze affected her like no others. His gaze set her a fire and caused her heart rate to accelerate.
The fact that Ryan could affect her like that scared the daylights out of her. She wasn’t ready for anyone to come into her life yet, especially not Ryan.
Meghan opened her eyes. "No." she stated quietly. She looked up at Ryan’s baffled expression.
"No?" he asked puzzled.
"No. No I won’t do it. What happened was a long time ago and I refuse to do it."
"Look." Ryan snapped exasperated. "I don’t want to do this either. I absolutely do not want to marry someone I’ve never met, but my family is in danger and I will do whatever it takes to keep them safe; even if that means marrying a human."
Meghan was getting ready to retaliate when Ryan started talking again. "Whatever you’re about to say, Meghan, don’t even waist your breath cause it’s not going to change my mind."
He took a step towards her. In her mind Meghan told herself that he was invading her personal space, but deep down she knew that having Ryan so close to her set her aflame. Her head swam as she smelled the sweet smell of his cologne. His body heat warmed her from the inside out. With every breath she took his sweet intoxicating scent filled her nostrils.
When he put his hands on her arms her flesh burned from his touch. Meghan couldn’t even think straight.
Ryan’s POV………..
Ryan knew what Meghan’s reaction to him was. She was aroused by him, plain and simple. Every time he got close to her, her breathing became faster. He could see her chest rising and falling now. If she started breathing any faster she would be hyperventilating.
Ryan wanted to hurry and get out of there and he knew he had Meghan under control. To further fluster her he put his hands on her arms and stepped closer her. Now there bodies were only scant inches away from each other.
Her lips were slightly parted as if to await a kiss from him.He could smell her arousal. He could smell her slick heat that was pooling between her legs. The smell caused his beast to immerge again.
She wants us. All we have to do is lower her to the floor, lift her skirt and- Ryan quickly and silently gained control over his body.
"Now why don’t you," said to Meghan. "Go upstairs and pack some of your things so we can leave."
He almost heard her shield fall back in place. It was if someone doused her with cold water.
He was annoyed by the lost of warmth that disappointed him when she stepped back away from them.
"I’m not going."
Now he was angry. He came all this way to find a girl he didn’t even know. On top of that he had to marry the girl and during all of this he didn’t have a say in anything. His family needed him so he was willing to do whatever it was to keep them safe. And he wasn’t going to let anyone get in the way of that. Especially her!
Without thinking Ryan grabbed Meghan and with a speed that the human eye can’t catch he carried Meghan up the stairs and into the hallway.
"HOLY SHIT!" Meghan exclaimed when she realized that she was in the hallway.
Ryan felt Meghan’s arms tighten around his neck and wasn’t too pleased by the fact that he liked having her arms around him…and vice versa.
"Which way room is yours!" he barked at her.
Her hazel colored eyes were wide and kind of greenish color from her surprise. She was obviously shocked.
"W-what?"
"Room. Yours. Where is it?" he asked again.
"It’s th-the second room down then to the left."
Ryan followed her instructions passing what he assumed to be Anna’s room, and a bathroom.
Once he got there he deposited her on the bed without any warning.
Her surprised gasp made his lips twitch as he fought a smile.
When she regained her composure she glared at him.
"You have twenty minutes to gather some of your things. After twenty minutes whatever you don’t have will get left."
"Why you-" he didn’t catch the rest because he flew back down the stairs.
When he reached Meghan’s parents they were sitting on the
couch deep in discussion.
"Think about this Anna. Think about the reason we left in the first place."
Ryan was starting to get an idea of what they were talking about.
"I know Klayton, but she will need me." Anna’s distress colored her voice. "She doesn’t know what that world is like Klayton. She doesn’t –"
"I’m pretty sure that Lady Villisaci will help her out.
"I don’t know, Klayton, I just don’t know."
Ryan had had enough and decided to make his presence known.
"Meghan and I will be leaving in twenty minutes, Anna. I think you two should go get packed."
Anna looked up at him then looked up at the stair case before bringing her gaze back down to Ryan’s. He could tell she was really nervous.
"Um..I don’t know if I should go." Anna admitted nervously.
Ryan stepped further into the living room and narrowed his eyes at her.
"Why wouldn’t you go?" Ryan asked.
"It’s just that there was a reason we left and I don’t think we would be welcome back."
That was the weakest excuse Ryan had ever heard and he told them so. He knew Meghan would need her mother there for the ceremony. He had been to some of his sister’s friend’s mating ceremonies. He also knew that Meghan would be hurt to know
Anna wouldn’t be going.
What he didn’t know was why he cared whether Meghan would be hurt or not.
"You know what, Anna? That’s your choice, but I will not be the one to tell Meghan your decision. You will."
Somehow Ryan knew that Anna’s choice wouldn’t be to come with Meghan.
Ryan was enjoying watching Meghan’s parents squirm. They’ve been lying to her her whole life and he was enjoying bringing that lie forward. And because his life was turned upside down because of their lie so he figured some pay back was in order.
