Vampire Wedding Ch. 18 A Vampire Wedding
****CHAPTER 18****

****MEGHAN’S POV****
Meghan was so nervous she was shaking. Today was her wedding day and she couldn’t help but worry over everything; about her dress, about the guest, and most importantly about tonight.

Tonight Ryan and she would come together as man and wife before Ryan turned her into one of his kind. Tonight, she realized, would be the last night she would be human. The thought was kind of nerve racking. She would be leaving her life as she knew it for the life that she was originally destined for. That thought did NOT help sooth her frazzled nerves.

The ceremony wouldn’t start until nightfall, because of the whole sun thing and Meghan couldn’t wait. The longer it took for her wedding to start the more nervous she got. What if she did something goes wrong at the ceremony?

What if something goes wrong period? Could she really spend the rest of eternity with Ryan? She wasn’t quite sure but eternity seemed like a long time.

"Would you stay still?" Harper’s sharp tone shook her out of her thoughts and brought her back to reality. Harper was trying to help Meghan don on her pre-wedding dress. It was a sleeveless black and white dress that came down to mid-thigh. It also had a white sash that went around the middle. Meghan thought it was sexy without being trashy. She called it sexlegant for elegant and sexy put together.

"I’m sorry, Harper." Meghan apologized. "I’m just so nervous. I mean, can you believe I’m about to get MARRIED?"

Meghan, for the tenth time that day, began rambling on about the possible disasters that could happen.

"What if I fall or what if I-"

"Meghan," Harper called trying to get her attention.

"-With all those people I could even-"

"Meghan," She tried again, but this time a little louder. Meghan still didn’t hear her.

"What if I don’t repeat the vowels-"

"Meghan!" Harper shouted; this time drawing the nervous bride’s attention. Geesh she heard of a nervous bride, but this was ridiculous!

"Calm down, nothing’s going to happen," Harper told her soothingly.

"But what if-"

Harper cut her off and said in an annoyed tone, "If I hear you say ‘what if’ one more time I will personally make sure that you have a black eye during the ceremony." Of course Harper would NEVER do that to Meghan, but something needed to be said to get her to be quiet.

Meghan’s eyes narrowed and all the color rushed back into her face. "You wouldn’t dare." Yea. There’s the Meghan I know, Harper thought.

She too narrowed her eyes and looked the bride dead in her eyes. "Try me."
Both women looked at each other menacingly, trying to get the other one to look away first. That lasted all of two seconds before they burst out laughing.

"Harper you are terrible," Meghan said still giggling.

"Hey I was real close from giving you that black eye." Harper responded with a smile.

Meghan walked over to her friend and gave her a big hug. "I’m sorry for acting like that. I’m just so nervous."

Harper stepped back from her and patted her arm. "It’s fine Meghan. I know this is a big step for you and I know it can be nerve racking, but if you keep stressing out about it then it will be shot to hell."

Meghan nodded, agreeing to what Harper had said. She was right. She should relax and just go with the flow everything will be fine.

"Ok. Let’s get you into this dress."

****RYAN’S POV****

"Oh shut up man, she’s not that bad." Ryan stood in his room in front of the mirror tying his tie on his pre-wedding tux. He and Meghan decided to do the black and white thing so he had on a black tux with a black undershirt with a white tie. Keith and Wesley were in there with him supposedly helping him get dressed, but all they did was talk about the girls that would be attending.

"Ryan, that girl is a bitch." They were referring to one of the elders daughters. "She thinks that everyone wants her, but she is freaking butt ugly." Keith said.

The girl in questions name was Anna Marie and Ryan had to admit that she was stuck up and she did think she was the shit. The more Ryan thought about it the more sense Keith and Wesley made, but he didn’t want to be rude so he defended her.

"She’s actually pretty nice." He looked at his friends through the mirror and for about five seconds they looked back before collapsing in a round of laughter.

"You don’t believe that any more than you believe Keith over here is a virgin." Wesley said still laughing.

Keith immediately stopped laughing and looked back at Wes. "I am a virgin."

That caused Wesley to stop laughing. "Oh sure and the sounds coming from your room during training was the wild animals." He said sarcastically.

"Hey she WAS a wild animal." Keith said with a wolfish grin. Then him and Wesley started laughing again.

"Will you two grow up," Ryan said trying and failing to act and look stern. He walked over to the couch and sat down between his two best buds.

"We’re only trying to lighten the mood before the wedding ." Keith said handing him a beer.

"Yea," added Wesley. "Lord knows you aren’t going to be smiling much when we got to go down stairs in a few minutes." Ryan couldn’t agree more. The thought of having to face all those people terrified him. Not because he was nervous, but because they were big political figures in the underworld and he had to prove that him marrying Meghan would be the best option.

"So how does it feel knowing you’re about to leave bachelor hood forever?" Wesley asked taking a swig of his drink.

Ryan had to think about it. He would miss being able to flirt with different girls, but at least he was marrying Meghan. In the very short time they knew each other he had fallen in love with her; her smile, her body, but most importantly her mind and soul. He would gladly give up the freedom to be with different girls to be with Meghan. She was worth it.

"To tell you the truth man, it feels great." That got both of his friends ragging on him. Telling him he sold out and all of that, but it was all in good natured fun.

All of a sudden Wesley stood up with his beer. "I want to give a private toast to you before we have to go down stairs." Ryan arched his brow questioningly but still picked up his beer.

"In all honesty, Ryan, I am happy for you. I know that Meghan is something special just by the way you look at her. We’ve all been friends for years and I know you are very happy with this upcoming arrangement. But in the future if I hear you hurt Meghan in any way I’ll be right there to snatch her up, because bro, you’re future wife is HOT!"

Ryan knew that that last statement was just a joke. Wesley was someone who couldn’t stay serious for too long or else he got uncomfortable.

"Oh yea," Wesley continued. "If you tell anyone I got all mushy I will personally beat the snot out of both of you." They all laughed before Keith shouted, "You can try!"

The other two got to wrestling while Ryan sat there on the couch thinking. Keith wouldn’t have to worry about Meghan being hurt because Ryan would do everything in his power to keep something like that from happening.

****VERONICA’S POV****

Veronica added the finishing touches on her hair and makeup before grabbing her purse and heading down stairs. She had to make sure everything was running smoothly before her and Xavier’s plan was to work.

As she headed down the stairs she saw the guards that were actually under Xavier’s employment. They were waiting for the signal to do their jobs even though it wouldn’t come up for another couple of hours.

She nodded to them to let them know to be on standby. She couldn´t wait until the time came for Xavier to take that skanky bitch Meghan.

Just thinking about her made Veronica´s skin crawl. Ugh. The sooner the human was out of her and Ryan´s lives the happier they all would be.

Veronica looked around at the party goers. Mostly everyone that she saw boring until her eyes fell on one of her best friends. Anna Marie Syliona ( you pronounce it: silly_owna).

Veronica wanted to rush up to Anna Marie and tell her everything that was happening, but she had to make sure everything ran smoothly and everyone was in their place. She wouldn't let anything jeopardize her plans.

****MEGHAN’S POV****

As Meghan descended the stairs she nervously looked around the room. Much to her surprise-and h€appiness- no one stopped to stare at her like in those god awful princess stories. Hey the stopping and staring thing might be alright for Cinderella but for her…not so much.

"Do you see, Ryan?" Meghan whispered to Harper as she scanned the room. She couldn’t wait to see her future husband before the actual ceremony began.

"No, but I’m sure he’s around here somewhere." Harper answered as she too looked around the crowded room.

The room was filled with beautiful and beautifully dressed elegant people. All of them seemed to be wearing some type of color. There was midnight blue burgundy, and black. Meghan sort of expected it since she read all of those vampire stories.

Now that she thought about it, it was kind of weird knowing that she used to read about these creatures and now she’s about to become one. That thought added a since of excitement to the whole night. She wasn’t so nervous any more.

"There he is," Harper said pointing to a tall elegant man in a dark suit with broad shoulders. His long hair was put into a neat elegant ponytail that for some reason made him look even more masculine.

For a moment Meghan felt a little guilty for scoping out another guy, but then she realized that Harper was telling her that that tall gorgeous man was HER Ryan.

Her heart started to beat faster and her breathing became more elaborate. Her Ryan, he was all hers and would be all hers forever. Right now the ceremony couldn’t begin fast enough for Meghan.

****RYAN’S POV****

Ryan was talking with some guest when something caught his eye. He turned his head and saw Meghan walking down the stairs with Harper right behind her. She wasn’t wearing something flashy like some of the other female guest, but she looked gorgeous all the same.

The way the dress hugged her breast and curves made his mouth dry. For some odd reason Ryan found the curve of a woman’s shoulders very sexy and the way Meghan’s dress was designed exposed that sexiness to him.

He was vaguely aware of the two men still talking to him, but he didn’t care. All he wanted was Meghan to hurry and come down those stairs so that he could wrap his arms around her.

He watched as Meghan and Harper looked around the room as if searching for someone. His ego hoped it was him. That ego was stroked when he saw Harper point directly at him. Ryan tried to make it seem like he wasn’t watching them, so he turned back towards the gentlemen that were in front of him.

He first smelled the unique smell that was Meghan before he felt her hand slide on his shoulder.

Ryan turned and smiled down at his beautiful fiancée. She looked gorgeous tonight and looking into her chocolate brown eyes he felt like he was looking into the future. He could see their lives together with their children growing in her belly and then growing up and being raised by him and his wife.

"Hey," Meghan said as she came around to stand next to him.

"Hey, yourself," Ryan replied while looking her up and down. "You look gorgeous." He grinned as Meghan blushed and lowered her eyes.

"Thanks."

Ryan spent most of the night introducing Meghan to all of the guest until 11:30 when they had to go upstairs and change into their wedding clothes.
The time had finally come.
