Vampire Wedding Ch 8B - Can't We All Just Get Along
Decisions. Ryan learns of new plans
Chapter 8 B
Ryan marched to the door completely oblivious to the fact that all he had on was his boxers and they weren’t even concealing much at his current state.
He was pissed that he was finally getting Meghan to return some of his passion and it was interrupted.
He yanked open the door and pulled who ever it was into the room and through them against the wall.
"Wait Ryan! It's me!" came the panicked voice.
The voice cut through his senses and he realized it was his friend Keith.
"What do you want?" he asked in frustration.
At that moment Keith looked at Ryan and then looked at Meghan. His eyes lit up in recognition as he realized what was going on.
"Hey, man. I’m sorry and didn’t mean to…..interrupt, but we have reports of the rebels grouping and planning something."
Ryan’s body stiffened and a low growl escaped his throat.
"Planning what?" he asked.
"We don’t know yet. Your father is getting the troops ready for battle if need be."
"Do you think that it would go that far?"
Meghan listened to the conversation and wondered why the rebels were planning something and why it was so important.
"Again, Man. We don’t know. We have some people that are going to get on the inside to see if they could figure out anything."
"Who all are you sending?" Ryan started to pace back in forth while Meghan watched him. His body was tense and so his voice sounded strained.
Meghan didn’t know what to do so she just listened.
"Braham, Grallens, and Trank." Meghan didn’t recognize the names.
"Are you sure Brendall won’t know who they are?"
"Yea. We made sure that only certain people knew who they were. Not everyone has met them."
"Okay. I’m going to go talk to my father. Don’t tell anyone else about the undercover troops unless we say so." Ryan went to his drawers and grabbed some clothes.
"You got it." Keith replied as he walked to the door. "Oh Ryan,"
"Yea."
"Your girl is HOT!" Keith added with a wry grin. He bolted when Ryan started for him.
Meghan blushed profusely when she heard the comment and giggled when she saw Ryan trying to button his pants and chase Keith out the door at the same time.
Ryan closed the door after his friend and ran his hand through his thick black locks as he sighed. Meghan watched curiously as he looked at her before turning away several times. She wondered what he was thinking about.
"I have some important business to take care of," he said finally after several minutes of silence between the two.
Meghan was hesitant to talk to him after what accumulated between the two. She knew that she didn’t want to leave anymore. She felt a strange feeling as if she needed to be there, but she didn’t know how to act with Ryan.
She admitted to herself that she actually liked him but she didn’t know how to go about it. How could she show him that she liked him without him thinking there was some ulterior motive. She wanted to show him that she liked him without him having to seduce him.
"Okay." She replied.
"He looked at her as if he was indecisive about something for awhile but at the end he just left.
"Oh god Meggs," she thought to herself. "What are you going to do?"
Ryan walked to his father’s study in complete thought. He knew Meghan wanted him but he didn’t know how to get her to want him without seducing her all the time. He wanted her to want him just because it was him.
He thought back to the moment where she dropped her guard and let him in. He thought of how her eyes had caressed him and how her hand gently stroked him. It drove him mad with wanting of her.
Another thing that got to him was her scent. She smelled of fresh fruit and something else. It was like even though the witch turned her human while she was in fetus form, she still had the scent of a vampire.
Heat spread through his body all the way down to his member.
Just what I need, he thought. He was painfully hard, had to meet with his father, and there was a chance of betrayal in his pack. Yea life was good.
He thought of things to get his mind off of Meghan as he walked so by the time he reached his father’s door he had his erection under control.
"Come in," his father’s booming voice acknowledged before he could lift his hand to knock. He forgot his father and mother’s gift of knowing someone’s presence before they got to them. It made him smile. He wondered what Meghan’s gift would be. That led him to thinking what their children’s gift would be.
"Son, are you okay?" his father’s words broke his train off thought and reminded him of why he was there.
"Yea….I’m fine." He cleared his throat before asking his father about what Keith had told him.
"Yea. Some of our patrollers stumbled upon a group of people that apparently are apart of the rebels. They were talking about a plan."
"Do you know what the plan is?" Ryan asked taking a seat in the chair across from his father’s wooden desk.
"No they wouldn’t talk. We were hoping that you could go in and see what they were planning. You know, use your gift."
Ryan nodded his agreement at the plan but another question struck his mind.
"Do the other rebels know that the ones we have were taken?"
"I highly doubt they do. I don’t think they would tell them either. With Brandell as leader…."
Ryan’s back stiffened at the sound of Brendall’s name.
"We should have killed that son of a bitch as soon as we found out he was a traitor" Ryan growled angrily. "It is my own fault, though. I shouldn’t have turned a blind eye on him. If only-"
"Son," his father said softly cutting him off. "It is not your fault. Brendall betrayed all of us. How could you have kno-"
"NO!" Ryan yelled, slamming his fist against the desk. "I knew something was going on, but yet I refused to believe it. It is partly my fault that all of this is happening."
"Ryan, I….." His father’s voice drifted off for he knew not what to say to appease his son’s conscience. He knew that Ryan was stubborn and wouldn’t listen to reasoning so he dropped it with a sigh.
"Alright, Ryan. ‘Tis enough." Ryan listened to his father’s 19th century accent rise in his speech. It reminded him of how old his family really was.
Charles Villisaci ran his hand through his hair.lt was brown with grey at the temples.
"Alright, Ryan. We are sending some of our troops under cover. Even the one’s that we have taken in for questioning do not know who they are."
Ryan nodded and listened as his father clued him in. Apparently Brendall’s men weren’t talking much but they did discover something about a plan. His father needed him to go in and try to use his power to see what they knew, but the trick was to make it seem like he wasn’t doing anything special. After that he needed to fill in the rest of the troops and Meghan.
"Good night, Father," Ryan said standing up from the chair.
"Good night, Son," Came the reply. Charles went back to drinking his brandy and looking over some papers
It took Ryan an hour to accomplish everything that needed to be done and after wards all he wanted to do was tear each and every one of the traitors heads off. What he found out was not pretty and it was very dangerous.
OH BOY…..
Meghan had already showered and changed into her night clothes so she lie on the bed thinking about a lot of things. First was her discussion with Ryan’s mother, second was what Keith and Ryan were talking about earlier and the third was about her feelings for Ryan.
She figured that she was going to stay obviously, but she didn’t know how she could handle her "fiancee". Meghan found him more attractive then she found anyone else. The fact that his family was loaded also added to her attraction to him. She just didn’t want to go about their relationship as only sex based. Him always seducing her didn’t help to the fact.
She wanted to get to know him on a personal level. She wanted to know about his history, his likes and dislikes, and all the other normal things people found out about each other while dating. She felt even though they were getting married regardless of how she felt didn’t mean she still didn’t want what any normal girl would want when it came to the opposite sex.
She sighed and rolled over to lay on her stomach. There was only one thing to do and that was to try to get Ryan to notice her mentally as well as physically.
If this relationship was going to work they needed to understand eachother more.
"Okay girly. You have to talk to him. Don’t let his body and his face distract you."
The mental coaching was almost forgotten when Ryan walked into the room.
She could tell that he was angry but was trying to keep in control. His body was stiff and tensed and his jaw looked as hard as concrete. The veins in his muscles looked like they wanted to pop out.
"Ryan?" she called softly. Watching him pace around the room was making her nervous.
At first he didn’t reply so she called his name two more times. Each time was louder than the first.
Finally he looked up at her. When she looked into his eyes she gasped. She could see a hatred so pure in his ice cold blue eyes that she started to tremble. What had she done to cause that look in his eyes.
His eyes stayed on her as she tried to back up but soon she hit the head of the bed and couldn’t go no where else.
When he started to advance toward the bed Meghan quickly hopped off the bed and made an attempt to the door, but he was too fast.
When he caught her he pushed her against the wall and just stared at her. Her heart was pounding in fear and her breaths were coming out in gasps. All of a sudden a burst of anger ignited within her.
Why the hell was he angry at her. She didn’t do anything to him. SHE should be angry at HIM. He was the one that tried to seduce her before their wedding day.
"Ryan Villisaci you got two and half seconds to let me go!" her voice was loud enough and stern enough to cause Ryan’s eyebrows to raise in surprise.
"Excuse me?" he said cut off guard.
"I don’t know what your problem is, but you better get over it quickly. I will be damned if I let you get angry at me for no reason." When she twisted out of his grasp he let her go and watched as she paced the room angrily while scolding him
"You are the weirdest boy I ever met! First you try to sleep with me then out of nowhere you come into our room and look at me as if I just killed your best friend or something. I will tell you right now. I am NOT having it."
"Ryan sat down on the sofa in amusement and half listened to her ramble on and on about how men don’t know what they want and how they should make up their minds. He tried not to let the laughter that was rising in his throat come out of his mouth but she looked hilarious. Her hair was messy and her pajama shirt was drooping causing a little bit of cleavage show.
Matter fact. She looked gorgeous like that. He should get her angry more often.
"Do you understand me?" Ryan realized that he had not heard a word she said and when Meghan realized it too she went into another long speech on how you can’t trust a man to listen to anything you say.
Finally he could not keep his amusement at bay so he laughed a good hardy laugh. Leave it to Meghan to bring him out of his funk. Now he knew she was good for him.
"Oh! I know you are not laughing when…agh!" Ryan grabbed her by her waist and dragged her down onto his lap.
"Shh." He quieted her by planting a slow sensous kiss on her lips. "I get it now. I’m sorry for taking it out on you."
She crossed her arms indignantly even though her breathing was ragged. "Good."
"Now let’s go to bed." The way he said it let her know that he wanted to do more than sleep.
When he tried to drag her to the bed she pulled back.
Ryan looked back at Meghan in concern. "What’s wrong?"
"Uh.. Ryan. I don’t think our relationship should go any farther until we get to know each other more."
"What are you talking about? We get married in a few weeks." He said exasperated.
"I know but we still don’t know a lot about eachother." Her cheeks heated up and turned crimson when she said the next part. "I talked to your mother and she told me what was to happen at the mating.
He grew hard thinking about it. "Yea so why don’t we practice," he said wryly trying to pull her into his arms. She pushed him away.
"No." she turned away from him and took a deep frustrated breath. Why wasn’t he getting it.
"I wouldn’t feel right getting married and not knowing the person I’m supposed to sleep with and eventually have children with. What kind of marriage is that?" she said hoping that he would just give in.
He stared at her for a moment, but eventually sighed and nodded his head. "Alright, alright. I understand."
"Thanks!" she said happily. They climbed into bed and she turned away from him so that her back was to his front like they always slept. This time however she scooted back so that she was close to him.
"Good night, Ryan."
"Night."
A FEW MINUTES LATER…………
"Dammit, Ryan. Can’t you control yourself for one night!" she yelled as she scooted away from him.
Ryan just chuckled and said, "I’m sorry. He has a mind of his own."
Meghan grabbed a pillow hit him with it then grabbed a blanket and marched to the couch.
"You’re sleeping on the couch?" Ryan asked surprised.
Meghan turned and looked at him before a smile crossed her lips.
"Nope. You are."
Ryan marched to the door completely oblivious to the fact that all he had on was his boxers and they weren’t even concealing much at his current state.
