CHAPTER 2

On the way back to Megan’s house, Ryan felt a twinge of anger. How dare they go back on their word? He was just going to let it go if he lost his head things would become ugly. Do they even remember? Will they even recognize him? He’d just have to wait and see. Ryan couldn’t wait to see Anna’s face when he told her who he was and what he wanted.

Following his companion’s instructions Ryan arrived at his house. He could still sense her fear and tried his best not to let his emotions get the best of him again like in the alley. He couldn’t help it. When he sensed his mate her smell was intoxicating. He forgot she wasn’t a vampire anymore and couldn’t sense him like he could her. That just made him even more mad at Anna.

Pulling to a stop Ryan put the car on park and turned to look at Meghan to see what she was going to do.

"So. Thanks for the ride and I’ll see you later." She turned to hurry and get out the car but he grabbed her hand.

"What will your mom be doing right now?" That was a strange question.

"Probably on the couch watching TV." it was eleven o’clock on a Saturday

Ryan thought about what she said and nodded.

"Okay let’s go" he could hear her thoughts and knew she was about to run. She did but he was faster. He caught her just before she reached the door.

"Whew. I don’t know if I want you to be turned back if you’re already doing this." He said jokingly.

"Now, why don’t me and you go inside and reacquaint eachother with Anna?" he suggested not really giving her a choice.

He waited behind her while with shaking fingers she unlocked the door. He was anticipating seeing the look of shock and or horror on Anna’s face. This was going to be interesting.

"Mom!" Meghan shouted when they entered the house . It was warm and cozy. When you first walked in the first thing you saw was a set of stairs right in front of you. To your left looked like the kitchen and the dining room. To the right looked like to be the living room. Ther was more rooms in the back of the living room.

"Yes?!" her mom hollered back.

"Can you come in the kitchen it’s an emergency!" the duo headed to the kitchen to wait for Anna.

"What’s the emer-" she broke off when she saw Ryan. He smiled knowing that she didn’t recognize him.

"Who’s your friend sweety?" Anna asked looking from Ryan to Meghan.

"Aw that’s insulting Anna. You don’t remember lil ol’ me?" He asked with a smile
"What are you talking about?" She asked looking at him as if he was some sort of weird bug.

"I’m talking about you not remembering the contract with my family. If I’m not mistaken Megs is old enough to marry and so am I. That means our mating should be soon."

Anna’s face showed the horror she felt when she recognized and realized who he was and what he was talking about.

"Oh No!" she cried out.
