Vampire Love
Just a story I wrote. I’m tired of reading all these stories that disagree on how vampires are, so here is what I think and how I want them to be.
Rain crashes against my window, leaving clear streams flowing down the cold glass. I gaze out the window, reflected, my arms wrapped around my legs, holding me tight. My thoughts swirl inside me head, as I stare out the window into the night, numb. I hate this feeling of helplessness, of being numb, unable to FEEL the world.
Something....anything...I need to feel! Pain...feeling...liquid crimson. Slowly, I pick up my beloved friend from beside me. It shines in the moonlight streaming through my window. Ah, I love you dearly my friend, you're kind to me, always there for me, letting me feel the world. You chase away my numbness and give my feelings back to me. Kiss my arms again, run your moth's kiss down my wrist, help me once again to LIVE! I sit there, posed, my silver razor held gently in my hand, above my wrist. Goodbye numb, hello feelings! I slash down, reveling in the sudden gush of scarlet and life. Pain starts to tingle in my wrist, slowly increasing, until I feel alive. The dead don't feel pain...the living do. At last, I know I'm alive. Something snaps inside me...I stare at my red, shimmering wrist. Did I do this? My eyes gaze at my arm, a pool of fragrant crimson spreading around me. A knocking at my window, the sound of it being raised, a whisper behind me. I turn. And see my guardian angel, my own fallen angel. His dark hair is spiked in the back, coming over his right eye. He looks at me with the deepest, darkest eyes, his expression unfathomable. He comes over to me, and gazes at me with curiosity in his eyes. I shrink back. Who is this boy? If he is a boy at all...there's something...unhuman about him. A certain...godliness. He reaches out with a pale hand, white as snow, and cold as ice. The hand touches my face, slowly sliding down to my neck. He's as pale as I am, but his touch sends shivers down my spine. I look up at him, fear and question in my eyes. He smiles at me, the smile slowly spreading across his face, revealing razor sharp fangs. My eyes widen...a vampire? He sees the fear in my eyes and leans close, whispering, "Don't be afraid. There is no pain." He sits down beside me, and takes the razor from my hand, softly, careful not to cut my hand. Ripping his white shirt, the vampire bandages my wrist, tightly but gently. Crimson soaks the cloth, staining white with red. He slowly leans toward me, eyes never leaving mine, arms embracing me. He sniffs my neck, and licks it once. Opening his mouth, baring his fangs, he bites me. I feel his fangs, but there is no pain. I close my eyes, and blissfully feel life being sucked out of me. I embrace him back, holding him close. My angel is delivering me, a painless end. As the last drops are almost gone, he lifts his mouth from my neck and quietly whispers "You can call me Demon. And I'll call you Angel." Lowering his mouth once more, he murmurs, "I'll meet you in heaven and we'll be together always." The last drops of life leave me, and so does my spirit. Demon raises his head from my lifeless body, and smiling, takes the hand of my spirit. Together, we float out the window and into the night, together forever, me finally free, and he my savior.
