Valentine's Night Lingerie for Romance

Valentine's night is when couples really celebrate the Valentine's and everyone knows this fact. Children may celebrate Valentine's day by exchanging cute cards and sweet heart candy but the real action arrives after the sun goes down.

Valentines, like Halloween is celebrated after the sun goes down and thus the name should be changed to Valentine's Night! While that will likely never occur it really doesn't matter as every adult in a relationship knows exactly what I am talking about. While many gifts are exchanged before dusk, the vast majority of the celebration occurs at dinner where restaurants are filled to capacity. Perhaps a couple is cooking dinner at home or going to the movies or even a club but the real fun begins after dark or even in the dark.

This reality means that men need to be prepared and not with flowers or candy. Women generally don't like flowers as they die within a couple of days and candy, well everyone loves chocolate but no one loves getting fat. So where does this leave you? Jewelry or even better sexy lingerie! While I prefer jewelry, I don't like the cheap stuff but I do love lingerie!

Lingerie sends the unmistakable message that you are thinking about romance, sex, intimacy or perhaps expressing that she still turns you on. No matter how you look at it lingerie is the right gift for this holiday that is not really a holiday. No one lets their employees off of work, there is no closures of schools or banks but yet this charming holiday is made for lovers. Sales of greeting cards surge, restaurant bookings are massive and buying smarmy gifts increase. Don't buy her a teddy bear, buy her a sheer bra and panty set in her favorite color. Don't buy her balloons, buy her a colorful corset she can wear with her skinny jeans. Don't buy her a cookie bouquet, buy her a pair of high heels that will remind her of you, your thoughtfulness and will make her look like the goddess she is and 4 inches taller- every woman wants to be taller, don't they?

Don't forget though that this night is all about romance, not slam bam thank you maam. Women love to be romanced so don't stop at the lingerie, start at the lingerie and work backwards. Buy her the right size, color and style for her body shape and sensibility. If she likes spike boots, leather harness and a whip, by all means go for it but if not, don't. This holiday like all others has guidelines and you best follow them. Buy her a card and perhaps choose a blank one where you fill in your sentiments, sincerely and honestly. If she tears up you probably made the right decision as speaking to her heart is a good thing. Maybe buy her 3 or 4 very small thoughtful gifts, not spending a lot is a good idea as this holiday is not about money, about romance. Buy her a frame with a picture of the two of you than brings up great memories. Make her dinner, really! Clean her apartment of the one you share. Have her car detailed or have the dog groomed with a big red bow on her or perhaps give her a massage complete with candles, soft music and massage oil. You decide what will make he feel wanted, special, desirable and then the evening will really be about romance.
