It's quite a common sight in almost every household - the exams are over and the kids are all geared up and looking forward to a nice break. Josh, Ben, Jeremy, Mike, Andrew, Michelle, Jennifer, Tom and Kate...sitting in the living room, chatting and drawing up plans for the upcoming spring break vacation. A trip has been on their minds for over two months, but somehow no one's been able to come up with a suitable place to go! Well, if you too happen to be in a similar situation, look no further. Depending on the number of days available, you could think of various vacation ideas ranging from a four week vacation to a weekend trip to a day's excursion.

• If you are a nature lover, you can opt for a nature trail with a group of fellow nature lovers. It could either be a one day nature trail or you could take along some camping gear and turn it into an overnight trail.
• If you are a water baby, why not use your free time to indulge in your favorite activity? If you happen to live in an area that has a nearby river or a lake, it could be possible to indulge in a bit of water sports. You could have a great time through boating, jet skiing, banana boating, kayaking, canoeing, river rafting, etc. Try adding a bit of fishing and you might just find Dad getting more excited than you yourself!
• Amusement parks are always an option when it comes to kids vacation ideas. Enjoy the rides, splash around in the wave pool and in the water park, and have a whole lot of fun! Plus, it won't gobble up all your pocket money so you can go there as many times as you want.
• If speed is what excites you, why not think about a day at the nearby go-kart club? Experience the feeling of being in a race car and race your friends to the checkered flag! However, always remember to abide by all the safety rules, regulations and requirements. Speed thrills, but speed also kills.
• If you are part of a big group, you could decide to go for a road trip. You could rent a car, get someone with a valid driving license to drive the car and set off on a journey of fun and enjoyment. Use a map and plan all the possible places that you could visit. If possible, carry your own tent or camping gear. After all, a night in the woods isn't something that you get to experience everyday, is it?
• If you have a hobby that you strongly feel for, now's the time to pursue it with full fervor. If you like music, try learning a new musical instrument. Or if you've been planning to woo your girlfriend by singing a romantic song, start with some singing lessons. If you like wildlife and wild animals, try speaking with the manager of your local zoo or animal park. Who knows? You could get a summer job as an assistant tour guide or a helper.
• If you love cartoons, why not make a trip to Disneyland? You could mingle with your favorite cartoon characters, get photographed with them and buy some lovely memorabilia. This little Disney vacation could surely make your summer vacation all the more special.
• If your family owns a farmhouse or a cottage up in the hills, you all could head there for a weekend getaway. It would be a nice family vacation idea, wouldn't it?
• How about you and your date cycle away into the countryside, stroll through the fields, and sit among the birds and the bees as the sun sets over the horizon... Now wouldn't that be a really romantic vacation idea?
