Usher Marries
Singer Usher married his fiancée Tameka Foster one week after they called off their wedding ceremony in Southampton.

Usher, 28, and Foster, 37, reportedly tied the knot at his lawyer's office in Atlanta on Saturday. Despite reports that Usher's mother, Jonetta Patton, did not approve of the marriage and was allegedly not invited to the originally planned ceremony, a source said that she was present at the couple's nuptials. Quite a difference from the big wedding that was set to take place last Saturday at the Southampton home of music mogul L.A. Reid. Last Saturday, Usher’s publicist Patti Webster, issued a statement that read: "It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected."
It was rumored that Usher and Foster called off their wedding because they were arguing over the wedding plans and the fact that Patton was against the marriage from the beginning. Foster, who is pregnant with the couple's first child, slammed the rumors that were circulating about the cancelled wedding. She claims that she had a "pregnancy scare" on Saturday from the stress of planning the wedding. Foster said in an interview with People, "I was pushing myself way too hard, but I am fine and the baby is fine.
Usher said earlier this week that the wedding was just "postponed" and would be "rescheduled." A source said of the couple, "They did exactly what they should have done and said they were going to do. They are very happy." This is the first marriage for Usher and the second for Foster. She was previously married to Noontime Music co-founder Ryan Glover with whom she has three children. Foster is due to deliver in the fall.
