It was rumored that the couple was supposed to tie the knot at the Southampton, NY mansion of record exec L.A. Reid on Saturday. Hours before the nuptials were set to take place, Usher’s publicist Patti Webster, issued a statement that read: "It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected."

A source said, "Usher changed his mind." Apparently the couple has been dealing with a lot and had different views of how the wedding should be. The source also said "the bride wanted a barbecue, [and] he wanted to have [renowned chef] Jean Georges cook." Another source of contention was that Usher’s mother was not originally invited to the wedding and neither was his godfather, Ben Vereen, because they both were against the marriage. Usher fired his momager in May amid rumors that Foster wanted to manage his career. Usher’s mother, Jonnetta Patton, has not been quiet about her disapproval of her son’s fiancée.

Usher, 28, and Foster, 36, have been friend’s for about seven years, five of which she worked as his personal stylist. The two began dating about a year and a half ago and they announced their pregnancy in June. This is the first child for Usher, and the fourth for Foster. She was previously married to Noontime Music cofounder Ryan Glover and they have three children together. As far as whether or not this wedding will take place it still remains to be seen. It isn’t even clear whether or not Usher and Foster are still a couple.
