Use Social Media to Build Your Business Brand
Social media is the fastest growing online community. Use sites like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or LinkedIn to build your online business.
I’m on almost every major social network. And I use social networking to help build my online presence to my blogs and websites. For me, Twitter is the best source of marketing for my blogs. People often ask me, "is Twitter really that good for marketing?" The answer is, yes! I receive over 600 referring visits to my blogs from Twitter each day. So, if that isn’t powerful, I don’t know what is.
Obviously, if you sign up for a Twitter account today, you might not get the same results as me within your first week, but that’s okay, the key to your social media marketing success if relationships. You must build relationships for it to work.
Some people might find YouTube more successful, or someone might find more success with Facebook marketing, and that’s fine, however, you must learn that building relationships with people is the number one factor to your online success.
How do you build relationships with people online? It’s called schmoozing. Don’t just expect people to be your friend on these major social networks, you must be nice, you must socialize, you must provide quality content, and you must NOT talk about yourself!
So, if you have never used social networking sites to build your online business before, you must start now. A study released a few days ago found that people spend more time on Facebook then on Google. Think about that, for most websites/blogs/online businesses, the largest source of traffic comes from Google. But if people are spending more time on Facebook, you should be capitalizing on that. Use Facebook and market yourself, and build your online business brand throughout these social networks.
Someone asked me today, "how do I build relationships with people online when I don’t have time". I had a very blunt answer, "you must make time"! The first thing in business success is your relationships with your customers (or site visitors). People won’t buy something from you if they don’t know you, and they won’t trust you if they don’t know you. So, build relationships, schmooze, and get to know people, and begin to socialize with people throughout these awesome social networks.
