Have the vacation of a lifetime at The US Space and Rocket Center in Alabama, by knowing the Attractions to see - Best times to visit - Places to stay, and more.
If you are in Alabama for vacation then more than likely you are planning to visit the US Space and Rocket Center. This is the biggest tourist attraction in Alabama and everyone who visits the state makes an effort to visit this world-renowned center. There are amazing things to see and learn at the Space and Rocket Center and it is a wonderful place to visit with the entire family. Kids of all ages will love the hands-on exhibits, the demonstrations, IMAX movies, and more offered at the Center. Everything at the Center focuses on space exploration whether it is something currently going on, from the past, or part of the future!
There are many rides and simulators that kids will really love. The Space Walk is especially popular because participants feel as if they are really in space. The ride takes them through an exploration to complete the International Space Station. Since it is motion based it is realistic and kids especially love it. Another simulator that is mission based is the Space Station. This particular simulator is also motion-based and popular because it shoots participants into the air more than 140 feet with G forces. In addition, a G-Force Accelerator spins participants while allowing them to feel more than three times the force of gravity. And, if all of these demonstrations are not enough fun for you then you will want to try the Mars Climbing Wall where you can climb up a cliff on a Martian volcano!
When you visit the Us Space and Rocket Center you will be able to visit Rocket Park, too, where you will find the world’s biggest collection of rockets. Check out the SR-71 Blackbird spy plane, a real space shuttle, and more. If this sounds like a lot of fun to you, and it probably does, then you can find the US Space and Rocket Center west of Huntsville, Alabama, at One Tranquility Base.
