With the US Open 2010, the final Grand Slam of the year, starting on Monday, here is the list of the players and how they are seeded for the tournament. Seeds for the US Open are based on the ATP Rankings, similar to the Australian Open and French Open seedings. Only the Wimbledon tournament tweaks the ATP Rankings to decide the seeds based on the previous years grass court performance. The US Open does not follow this, the seeds are pretty much in line with the ATP Rankings, and if a player does not participate in the US Open, the players below him/her get bumped up a seed.
Taking that into account here are the seeds for the 2010 US Open:

The US Open 2010 is the last Grand Slam of the year, and so far, Roger Federer won the opening Grand Slam, the Australian Open, while Rafael Nadal won the next two, the French Open and the Wimbledon. Will 2010 be the year when Nadal wins 3 Slams to Federer's 1, like Federer himself has done on at least 2 occasions? Only time will tell. But with his career grand slam at stake, and considering that the US Open is the only Grand Slam that he has yet to win, there is a lot for Rafael Nadal to play for.
