U.S. Navy Guys

A poem about the men that serve proudly in the USN.
U.S. Navy guys,… aren’t trained to kill,…
…They are taught how to survive…
For combat cannot be a thrill…
If you are not alive.

U.S. Navy guys,… go out to sea,
They navigate by stars,
Each midnight is a fantasy
Wear you chevrons,.. wear you bars

U.S. Navy guys,… sail off to ports,
Around the world,.. you see,…
Our officers wear white summer shorts;…..
…We are not infantry…
But still a tactical necessity,..
That ensures the U.S. remains free.

U.S. Navy guys,… aren’t trained to kill,…
…They are taught how to survive…
For combat cannot be a thrill…
If you are not alive.
