Urban Ninjas

What is an urban ninja today? Most of us know the historical ninjas; following Sun Tzu’s Art of War to do espionage and guerilla fighting. Of course they knew how to fight efficient as well; but their main objectives were often small victories after raids.

I would dare to say; being ninja’s those days were a bit easier (this is a lie with modification; the agent time ninjas risked their life all the time, modern ninjas do not risk their life), than the urban ninja. Why would you ask? Well; how would you acquire information today; the most efficient way is to understand computer technology and educating them to be understand computer security

Next a ninja should know both running efficiently (free running and climbing are great options to learn this), and they need to be able to move in the darkness. Moving in darkness is of course more difficult than ordinary running, but it could be trained if you really want to learn the art.

We also have to know some fighting, I would recommend direct and efficient fighting styles as kickboxing or muay thai. There is no use learning fancy movements, if you are to fight you have to do if brutally and efficient, you don’t have time to show an opponent you are capable of dancing and moving fancy.

A last thing that might be fun educating you in is illusions; to understand how to do simple magic, and how the human mind works. There are both books and DVD’s dedicated to teach others how to do magic and illusion; the important lessons are to understand how to distract people mind, and how to complete an illusion. You might find it strange, but those stealing your money on the streets often also use the same tactics as a magician use; they take away your attention, and at the same time they, or their friend steal your money. Yes; the best way they take your money on the streets is by using one person to distract you, while the other steal from you. It’s much easier and more efficient than doing everything as one person.

The urban ninja have lots of arts to master before he is able to be a modern ninja, and need more education and training than the old ninjas we read about, but again, we do not run the risk of getting killed. If you want to practice to become a ninja; make sure you do it legally; break your own security system; learn to be a white hat hacker; learn to run and climb, and fight efficient martial arts, and of course to master elementary illusions.
