Upcoming Xbox 360 Games

All of us are eagerly awaiting the arrival of new Xbox 360 games. There are some whose next series would be launched this year and we will also witness the launch of certain new ones. If you thought that 2011 was one of the best years for Xbox aficionados, you may be in for a pleasant surprise this year. Let us take a look at some that are eagerly awaited.

New Xbox 360 Games - 2012

1. Mass Effect 3
Commander Shepherd has the responsibility of taking on the alien race of Reapers to prevent the total destruction of galaxy. You as Commander Shepherd, need to choose your alliances and determine which planets you want to save from the deadly aliens. The game carries forward its tight storyline and challenges your deftness to the core. This time around the Mass Effect 3 would feature Kinect functionality - which will be beneficial for in-game conversations. This is expected to release on March 6, 2012.

2. Darkness 2
Pail Jenkins has written the script for Darkness 2, and the game takes us back to the 'dark' days of Jackie Estacado. The protagonist's body plays host to a demon who while bestowing Jackie of great supernatural powers, wants his soul which he can take to hell. Although, the first edition wasn't exactly a bestseller, a lot of gamers who are now eagerly awaiting to see what is in store for them when the latest series hits the stores. Expected release date is the 7th of February, 2012.

3. Street Fighter X Tekken
The new Street Fighter X Tekken series will be launched on the 6th of March this year. The game has already drawn some boos and hisses from fans as the 'gem system' that will be featured in this year's edition doesn't really do any good to it. Producer Yosho Oni has acknowledged that although fans haven't been too appreciative of the concept, the 'gem system' adds value to the game.

4. Max Payne 3
One of the best action games for Xbox 360, Max Payne 3 features the protagonist who is trying to defend his clients from the assassins. The action takes place in Sao Paulo, Brazil and this time around the new version will feature a multiplayer experience for users. Max Payne 3 is slated to release on the 15th of May, 2012.

5. XCOM
XCOM is a first-player narrative game and the tension and the fear that one feels while pitted against a faceless enemy is something that it banks on. You as an FBI agent, would have to draw a strategy to combat the enemy in highly hostile environment. There is no official date for its release, but the consensus out there is that it will release in the Q4 of 2012.

6. Gotham City Imposters
This is one of those rare games that allows you to customize your character, taking multiplayer gaming to a different level altogether. Bats, Jokerz, weird costumes etc. are just some of its innovative features. Young gamers are eagerly waiting for it to be launched. The expected release date is 8th of February, 2012.

7. Sniper Elite V2
Sniper Elite, since its launch in 2005 managed to become one of the highly-acclaimed games of this year. Sniper Elite V2 aims to continue the legacy by pitting you in the war-torn Berlin, where German and Russian forces are baying for each other's blood. The 'bullet cam' makes its comeback as it tests the virility and patience of users. It is expected to release in May this year.

8. Syndicate
Circa 2069, there are no governments in sight. Corporations are fighting for dominance of the world market and in the single-player mode, you work for one of the corporations. The game also features a four-player mode in which you along with your counterparts form a block to challenge the corporations. Sleek design and innovative weaponry make this one highly anticipated.

9. Aliens: Colonial Marines
An alien assault that can cause complete annihilation and a defiant United States Colonial Marine Squad. The battle lines are drawn in this epic battle. The game will offer a host of weapons to choose from like pulse rifles, shotguns and power loaders. It is expected to release in the 3rd quarter of 2012.

10. Grand Slam Tennis 2
The Djokovic-Nadal six-hour marathon final has already put tennis on the front pages, an continuing with this hysteria is the launch of Grand Slam Tennis 2 on the 14th of February, 2012. It will feature an innovation known as 'Total Racquet Control' which will allow better functionality in playing various shots.
