Upcoming 3D Games 2012

With 3D technology taking the tech arena by storm, the list of upcoming 3D games for 2012 has got even better. Continue reading for more information on the future of 3D gaming, and some of the much-awaited 3D titles that are scheduled for release over the course of next few months.
Controlling a virtual video camera is easier than controlling a real one, and that explains why the 3D effects in gaming and animated films are far better compared to same in movies. In order to provide the best gaming experience to their users, most of the video game console manufacturers are slowly shifting base to 3D gaming. Around a year ago, Ubisoft CEO - Yves Guillemot, had predicted that the year 2012 would be dominated by 3D gaming with a whopping 50 percent share. Going by the recent occurrences, there is no scope to question Guillemot's prediction. On the contrary, several manufacturers are planning to re-release their previous best-selling games with a 3D touch.

Sony seems to be at the forefront yet again, and that became all the more obvious when they announced, at Sony's E3 2011, that they have more than a hundred 3D game titles scheduled for release over the course of next few years. This claim is backed by the fact that Sony's new 3D PlayStation-branded monitor (which was also announced at E3 2011) is all set for release in 2012. But then, Sony is not the only company vying for 3D supremacy. Rivals Microsoft and Nintendo are also planning a 3D extravaganza for their users this year. In fact, Nintendo is scheduled to launch its brand new console - the Nintendo Wii U, which is believed to be 3D compatible, this year.

Upcoming 3D Games List - 2012 Edition

3D gaming is no more a thing of the future, with games like Crysis 2, Assassins Creed: Revelations, Avatar: The Game, G-Force and Gran Turismo 5, already making quite a buzz in the tech arena in 2011. Come 2012, and expectations have increased all the more; so it wouldn't be surprising if a whole lot of new titles (and 3D tweaked existing titles) come our way in the next couple of months. A large number of games that are scheduled for release in 2012 are either 3D Vision ready or have 3D Vision support as one of their prominent features.
