Unwon Race

Will we ever win the race?
So beautiful and far fetched
The more we pursue it
The more tears we shed
It’s so tempting
It sparkles in front of our eyes
But the more we try to catch it
It flies
Being away from it means our peace of mind
Because we will never understand
How life can be so unkind
It’s our lost dreams
That get washed into the streams
And we sit there and weep
As our grief penetrates so deep
We wish we could have it all
But our dreams are not cheap
There is a price we have to pay
And accepting that life is not black and white
There is also a big part of grey!
