Unwilling Groom Finale Part I

Aditya had understood what Eve meant but did not know from where to start. They both stood there staring at each other.

"Eve, I "Aditya stopped as not sure what to tell Eve. "Aditya" Eve said his name and came closer to him. "Why are you keeping things from me. I thought we were friends too" It seemed that Eve had noticed changes in his behavior right away. Aditya had the presence of mind to know that they were at the office and anyone could hear their conversation.

"Eve, let's go somewhere private" Eve also understood and followed him. They reached at the sea face in Worli and Eve sighed. This was Aditya's favorite place and he always wanted to come here but Eve remembered telling him to go somewhere else every time he wanted to come here

They both sat together facing the sea, "Aditya what happened to us?" Eve broke the silence.

"I am sorry Eve" and that told Eve that her suspicions were right and their relation was OVER. Eve had broken up with guys before but this one hurt her the most. She waited him to continue.

"Eve, when you left me there was no life in me. I was living like a zombie and I was blaming you for that." Aditya stopped and took one deep breath. "I was a mess and more my life was a mess then when my parents asked me to see the girl I was not so happy about it. I decided to ask the girl to reject me and went to see the girl, for me it was a piece of cake. But everything changed when I saw Ruhi. She was not as I thought, she made me embarrass, made me laugh all in our first meeting. She also made me realize how faulty my plan was and asked me to marry her"

"I told my answer her then and there which was a no, but she gave very solid reason which made sense to me. We met one more time and decided to get married."

"After that we met a few times but it was all fun but then after wedding on our wedding night we experienced our attraction and knew we had to do something about it."

Aditya told her the entire thing missing out nothing and Eve sat there listening. She made no comment nor did she look at him. Aditya was not sure what kind of reaction he was expecting but he wanted all out.

Eve sat there listening to everything and absorbing all this information. Aditya had been loyal to her and it meant something to her. As she listened about Ruhi she understood that Ruhi was opposite of herself. So the time Aditya had spent with her was a lie?

Did he ever love her? Or it was all just to have her body. But eve knew answer to that it hadn't been just sex but there had been a bond between them. Eve had felt comfortable around him, he was dear friend to her and the guy whom she loved.

Eve was unaware of the tears which were running from eyes.

Aditya finished it without looking at Eve, he only looked at her after finishing the entire thing. He felt a relief that everything was out, he wasn't keeping something from Eve. She deserved truth. When he looked at her there were tears rolling from her eyes and Aditya knew that he was worst scum in the universe. Eve never cried, she was amazing at controlling her emotions, if he had made her cry meant he hurt her deeply. And it made him feel lousy.

He knew that he had lost all his rights to touch her but she still was a friend to him, so he gingerly touched her shoulder and her tear stricken eyes looked at her.

"I am so sorry Eve, I never meant to hurt you or tell you all this" With that he gathered Eve in his arms and hugged her. After a while Eve straightened and looked at Aditya. She knew that he was not lying to her and his apology was sincere. And she couldn't blame him for anything, she also knew that whatever happened between him and Ruhi was not Planned. That didn't mean she was not hurting, he was the best thing that had happened to her and he loved someone else. He hadn't said it aloud but she knew that he loved her.

"I know you are sorry Aditya but it doesn't change the facts."

Eve was looking for her handkerchief when Aditya gave her one of his to wipe her tears. "I need to be alone Aditya when I think about this"

Aditya was reluctant to leave her but he knew her well to argue so he just nodded and left.

Eve sat there looking at the sea, she had made plans of her wedding, her honeymoon. But now there would be nothing, she felt all empty inside. It also occurred to her that if she wouldn't have gone to Singapore it wouldn't have happened but she knew it was wrong. Even if they would have married if Aditya and Ruhi were supposed to love they would have.

She knew that she could force Aditya to marry her, and he would do it also but she didn't want him that way. She had somehow become his friend then love and she knew she should accept it.

And she would time to bury her broken heart in Singapore, but before she would tell this to Aditya she needed to see Ruhi.

Ruhi wanted to work but she couldn't concentrate. The call from Aditya had shaken her, she was not sure what he was going to say and then why had he disconnected.

All this details were troubling her, she was not sure what to expect.

"ahem Ruhi" she saw Kajal on the doorway, her assistant. "Yes, Kajal."

"Someone is here to see you, she said it was personal. She said, her name is Eve"

Ruhi couldn't manage to conceal the shock on her face, Kajal must have seen that and started to say something else but Ruhi stopped her and asked her to send Eve inside.

Ruhi tried to stop her mind for racing but couldn't. Why had Eve come here, she must have come here to fight with her. Of course for what else she might be coming, not to compare notes on Aditya.

When Ruhi heard someone clearing the throat she looked up to see the sexiest girl she had seen looking at her. She had prefect figure she showed it off in her white blouse and jeans. She looked elegant, the way queen and princess were supposed to be.

Remembering her manners she stood, "Please come in and sit." She got up and closed the door and took her place. "I am sorry but I was in shock when you came in. I didn't expect you"

Eve smiled and Ruhi knew why Aditya had fallen for Eve, "I am sorry to disturb you but I wanted to meet you" after Ruhi went past admiring her she noticed that Eve had cried and was not sure what to expect.

While Ruhi was measuring Eve, she had been doing the same. Ruhi was not perfect but she had no need to be perfect. She looked gorgeous the way she was, she didn't need to be perfect. Even at the first thing in the morning Eve knew that Ruhi would look gorgeous without any effort.

There was silence while they were looking and measuring each other but Eve knew she had to break the silence.

"Ruhi, I didn't know what to tell you when I decided to come here and meet you but I knew that I had to meet you"

"Eve, I am not sure what am I supposed to tell you" Ruhi said honestly to Eve as she was feeling a bit lost.

They both looked at each other in understanding, "You want to have tea?" Ruhi asked Eve and smiled at Eve when she nodded. Ruhi called her assistant and asked her to order tea for them.

As they wanted to avoid talking about "The Situation" they started talking about everything else but that topic. They talked about Eve's time in Singapore, Ruhi's new office and gossip in general.

After 15 minutes Eve decided that she liked Ruhi a lot, and Ruhi was having somewhat same thought in her head. But Eve knew she had to tell Ruhi what she had decided.

"Ruhi" Eve took a deep breath and continued, "When I came back I had just came to spend time with Aditya. That was my only reason to come, I had never thought the situation would change. But it had. I noticed changes in him and when he told me that he had slept with you I realized some things. One that Aditya didn't love me anymore and Second that he loved you"

"Eve, he doesn't love me." Ruhi tried but was stopped by Eve.

"When in the morning I went to his office I found him talking to you. When I confronted him to talk in private he took me to Worli sea face. There he told me everything. Also that how had he realized he didn't love me anymore. He didn't tell me that he loved you only because he has not realized it yet. I was hurt, no I AM HURTING NOW as I love Aditya but it is very difficult to be in a relationship when the other person doesn't love you" Ruhi looked at Eve and her tears and remembered her own tears and how Anu had helped.

Ruhi got up and hugged Eve, right now there were not two females who loved Aditya but only two girls who knew what it was to be hurt because of a guy.

"I have decided to go back tomorrow" When Ruhi started to protest Eve continued, "Ruhi if I stayed here I will more miserable and in Singapore I have work as my salvage."

"I haven't told this yet to Aditya as I wanted to meet you first and honestly I had thought all bad things about you. You were a villain for me" Eve and Ruhi both laughed at that.

"Eve I wish things would be different" Eve nodded in understanding. "But it cannot be Ruhi, we both won't share Aditya" Ruhi's eyes went razor-sharp at that and Eve laughed.

Ruhi relaxed she was happy deliriously happy but she was also sad for Eve. She hated to see her hurt and alone.

"Eve, I know you choose your friends well. But could we be friends?" Eve smiled at her and captured Ruhi's hands, "Thank you Ruhi. I would love that"

"I'll go now I have to make arrangements." When Eve reached the door she turned to Ruhi. "I am planning to go in tomorrow's afternoon flight, could you and Aditya come at the Airport. I'll say bye to Aditya then"

Ruhi wanted to argue but saw the desperate look in Eve's eyes and she just nodded. Eve mumbled Thank you and left the office.
