Untrustworthy-Chapter 12/Bryson to the Rescue

I found a note in my locker the next day threatening me if I didn't show up at the park near my house after dark. I guessed who it was from, and ripped it up in pieces. This had to stop. I thought a moment and got out my cell phone. This isn't related to drugs so Arden shouldn't care if I handled this right? That night I was at home safe and sound watching movies with Elysa while Bryson paid a visit to the park. He found Gage waiting there, destroyed his car with a baseball bat and mashed his face into the concrete. Gage was a tough guy, but he was no match for my studly, enraged brother.

"If you ever, ever touch my baby sister again I will come for you and kill you." He hissed into the highschool senior's ear.

I shared History class with Jacob. "Gage came over last night at like midnight, bleeding from his face and ears. He said your brother attacked him for no reason and he wanted revenge, but he didn't even know his name or where he lived."

A thrill of fear skittered up my spine. "What did Arden say?" I hadn't thought this through all the way. From what Elysa said Arden took good care of his henchmen, maybe he would hunt down my brother and hurt him to revenge Gage.

"He laughed, and said from now on no one was to touch you. I think he knew about what Gage tried to do to you." I stared at Jacob wide eyed.

"He just let it go?"

"Well, I think he's going to buy Gage a new car." Oh. Bastard.
