Even though I didn't care what anyone said, I knew it hurt Alice. There was the negativity of it but once the guys heard about it, it only made her more attractive to them. I was jealous that I almost wanted to lie and say I was bi-sexual!
"Alison Silva! You better tell me the truth!" I pointed a finger at her as she backed up with every step I took towards her. "Right now!" I demanded. She hit a dead end and couldn't escape my furious stare.
Alison, or as I like to call her Alice, is my best friend. We haven't known each other since babies but last year when we were both transfers to Roosevelt high, we became the bestest of friends; considering each other was the only people we knew. Alice told me that she might've seen Lawrence (my 'boyfriend') with another girl last night.
I wasn't necessarily mad at her. The whole performance was just for dramatic effect. Lawrence was my 'buddy' meaning we flirt, but weren't exclusive. I was frustrated and torn because he's all I ever think about and were just 'budds'. But I guess it's my fault, I don't know how to keep 'em. What a waste of my time!
Alice explained to me what she 'observed' and that's all. I stood there, mixed feelings of frustration and hurt. "It doesn't necessarily mean anything. Let's just go take the day at the beach!" Alice suggested. "Ugh, I don't want to!" I plopped myself on the couch. "I'll just stay here and DIE ALONE!" I told her, I could be such a drama queen sometimes. She rolled her eyes at me. "Shut up." She barked at me.
After a few more minutes of my dramatic act we left my house but we didn't go to the beach. Instead, we 'casually' dropped by at the park and by that I mean 'check out all the hot guys with their shirts off playing football'. This is a great way that Alice and I like to forget about things.
We sat on the bleachers, eating our ice cream and gossiped like the teenage girls we are. "Shady Gracie, that bitch. Don't let her phase your life. Just smile at her sarcastically. That always pisses people off." I told Alice. Shady wasn't part of Gracie's name but that's our nickname for her because that's what she is. A few months back Gracie told the whole school about Alison's sexual orientation. Alice is bi-sexual and it's created rumors about us two but I didn't give a fuck what anyone said. This is my best friend and I'll stick by her side through everything.
