Untitled for Now. Prologue

Still currently thinking up names, so it'll have to be untitled for now. This is the prologue to the current book I'm writing, enjoy. (:
Okay, so I've submitted one poem, which is a form of writing I'm totally unfamiliar with, so let's move back to story writing. I will try to update this with a new chapter, at least every few days, but for now, here's the Prologue! I'm not even sure if I've done the prologue right, as I don't tend to include them. But ah well. :3

Micheal Davison looked out across the green sea of grass and hills that lay before him. White daisies were visible and as the glittering, golden light shone brightly on them, each one stood out and became more outstanding than before. It was a truly magnificent sight, in fact it's the sort of thing you'd hear in a fairy tale. However this story is indeed no fairy tale, some would say it's the complete opposite. Because if you ignored the scenery, for just a short second, and focused your attention on the young adult who just stood there. Then perhaps you would notice that single tear roll down his face. Or the way he stared, just stared, like a man who had lost a loved one. His expression was a picture of utter despair and you couldn't help but feel sorry for him, and share the pain and grief that he felt.

No, this story is not one for the faint hearted. In fact, it all began at the dawn of time itself, at the very first existence of man-kind on Earth. The time, when people said that God rules the world and little did they know how right they actually were.

However, they did get one thing wrong. There was more than one God, an inhuman God that ruled both the skies and lands fearlessly. It was the time of the dragons.

The dragons were sacred, they ruled it the utmost secrecy but still had power beyond the natural. They created everything there is to see in the world, both the good and the bad. not a single thing passed their attention and every disturbance in the natural world that occurred, they would be the first to know. Although they were scarce and little of them existed, but these creatures lived a long and satisfying life. Outliving thirty or forty average humans, and during that lifetime they would find their one true mate. Someone to share their power with and the love between them was unbelievable, nothing in the world could break it.

These creatures were magnificent, with beautiful scales that shone brightly. Each one looked like a bright star found in the sky. Each one was unique, all slightly different, yet all the same. They fitted together perfectly, forming the unbreakable suit of armor. When a dragon still had its shining set of scale, it was invincible and no creature, in the universe could harm it. Other than the dragon species, they knew each others weaknesses, and knew them better than anything else. Perhaps this is why one lives for such a lengthy amount of time, only nature and natural causes can end it's life.

These dragons, ruled for a long time, they made sure that the world was a safe place to be, and they kept the world in a perfect order. However, one day an evil force took over, and entered the body of a lonesome dragon. This dragons name was, Astrarot, and he soon began to lead a clan of warriors, his worshipers. It was with the help of these followers, that he managed to wipe out the whole of its own species. In the space of just a few years, the great Dragon Gods, resulted to nothing other than a pile of rotting flesh and bones. Of course, this evil group, (the 'last survivors' as they liked to call themselves) soon died out. Leaving the almighty dragon race in extinction. No one missed them, because no one knew about their presence on Earth. People carried on their normal ways, but without the rules of the Gods, the human race got out of control. They started to build advanced machinery, and weapons strong enough to wipe out entire cities. Wars broke out, some were over the smallest and unworthy things.

They didn't realize it, but they needed the Dragons. They needed them to come back and restore peace to mankind, because without them, not only the Dragons will be extinct. But the humans, animals and all living creatures on earth, soon will be to.

Luckily for them, the dragons were intelligent creatures, they had access to all the knowledge in the world, and had thought ahead. They suspected that something like this may happen, and a small group began to plan. They planned in hope for survival and in hope that all will turn out the way it was destined to. In this small group, there was five members in total. Not a lot, but it was enough. Each one, turned themselves into nothing more than a few pictures. Using their magical abilities, they disguised themselves well and other dragons, they suspected nothing. These pictures, were no more than a few sketches on paper, but they were enchanted to live forever, nothing could destroy them. They were scattered, to the far corners of the Earth. In places that no one would suspect anything unusual and out of the ordinary.

Why did they do this? Because one day, when the Earth is on the breach of complete extinction and all hope seems completely lost. There is always a spark of life, if a one human started to take an interest in these pictures, suspecting powers within them. Then they can be passed down through generations, until the chosen one discovers them. With the help of one chosen human, who owns all five pieces, the dragon race could restore. The return of the dragon may come once again.

The chosen human, had a pre-destined life, his or her paths were already chosen for them and they had no choice in the matter. As without them, the world will end. The dragons knew that and they hoped that the human (no matter how blind and oblivious they may be) would also realize that and will try to do all they can.

This is the only hope left. Or else the world will end.
