Unspoken - Chapter 7

Arth's side..

Why did she behave like that? She was so excited last day but what happened now? Didn't she like my surprise? Didn't she like Tia? Arth was worried for Reet. He tried to follow her when she went out of the hotel room but Tia had stopped him. Tia was his colleague, he always liked her. He had tried so hard to impress her and now finally she was with him. Arth felt so proud when she was with him. She was hot modern girl. She was not that bad as people thought. He was happy with her. But he was worried for Reet. Arth had noticed that Reet had cried. He followed her but was shocked to see her going in someone's car. A flash of jealousy hit him when he saw that guy holding her wrist and taking her to his car. Who is he? Her boyfriend? But she never told me about it. How could she hide this much big thing.?

Reet and Rahul's side.
She sat on the bench. Rahul was standing on the other side, watching her cry in pain. It was unbearable for him to see her like that, but he couldn't force her to say what has happened. she was crying uncontrollably, drops of tears were wetting that old wooden bench. Reet hugged her knees to chest. She didn't know what she will do now. How she will face Arth again. How she will see him with that girl? The most painful thing was the question which Reet wanted to ask Arth. She wanted to ask him, what was that which he was doing all these days? Was that only friendship? Couldn't he feel how much she loved him? Couldn't he see that he was integral part of Reet's life? Did he never feel anything for her? Why did he cared for her then? Why all those love? Was that mere friendship? Was she so much blind that she couldn't differentiate between friendship and love?
Questions were hammering her head. She didn't even notice when Rahul sat beside her.

Rahul wanted her to cry as much as she wanted. He wanted to let her heart be light. But it was already more than half an hour and she was still crying. He felt so helpless. He wished to wipe out her tears.

Reet!! I know we are not good friends, rather we are not even friends. But Reet, you can trust me dear. It's killing me to see you like this. Please for god sake tell me what has happened. I'll try my level best to help you. Its my promise. I swear Reet. Just tell me. What's the matter? Please.. Rahul was literally begging. He kept his palm on Reet's head, which made Reet sob even more harder..

Reet wanted to share with him, but she knew he loved her. She was afraid of breaking his heart. Now she could feel how much it hurts when someone ignores you. She never bothered about Rahul's feelings , maybe that was the reason why she is not happy now. But how could she accept Rahul's proposal when Reet's each and every dream started with Arth and ended with Arth.

Reet you can trust me. I promise I'll never let you down. Rahul pressed her palm but Reet slowly removed her palm from there. Something again broke inside Rahul's heart. Is he so unfortunate? Is he so unlucky? The girl whom he loves the most doesn't even trusts him. Pain of hurt was also visible from Rahul's face. He was a strong man but after all he was a human. He too had feelings.

"He doesn't loves me" Reet uttered in between her sobs.
"He never loved me" she again whispered.

Is this a dream? Rahul pinched himself. What the hell is happening. Who is this he? Does Reet love someone? Rahul was shocked. Everything crashed down within him but still he wanted to make it sure that he heard the correct statement.

He? Who is he? What are you saying? Rahul asked impatiently. He was eager to know the entire matter.

Arth.. His name is Arth..and Reet told the entire story from childhood days till the day today. She told how much she loved Arth and how much he used to care for her. Reet didn't even notice when Rahul stood and went to the edge of cliff.

For Rahul, it was the most painful moment. He felt as if someone first stabbed his heart and then severely crushed by the heel of foot. He was jealous of Arth. He started hated him.

So this was the reason why Reet never looked at me. That's why She never thought about me. She always loved someone else and I was so stupid that I felt she is a bit shy that's why she doesn't speaks to me. Rahul was busy in his thoughts. He was hurt. He cursed himself for being so unlucky. The girl whom he loved was crying for her failed love. She was sad because she couldn't get her love. What about him? Can't she see how much it pains to him? Will he ever be able to take that position in her heart? A tear rolled down from his eyes. He felt like screaming and shouting his heart out but suddenly he felt he heard something. He heard some stones falling down the valley. His head immediately snapped in that direction.

Reet!!! STOP!!! He screamed with his full intensity and the mountains echoed his voice...
