What is it that I want from you?
Is it to be with you or is it not?
There are pros and cons of how you run your life
But that doesn't matter
Does it?

You make me happy one moment
And then the next sad
Is this what love feels like?
When you are not there I make sense of life
Of what supposed to be and what's not

Because I know you're not the man I want
But when you are there I lose sight of what supposed to be
And know that you're the one and only
Where somewhere in me I know we can't have a future
But as funny as it is we're not together and I'm going crazy

You flirt and chase but won't make a move
You don't mention anything of your past or dreams
And I wonder do we have anything in common?
And, why, would you pick me as yours?
Of all the girls you could have would you pick me as yours?

And still I ask "Do you even like me?"
Or is it just for the moment?
Am I so insecure of my looks and feelings?
That I don't show my feelings for you enough?
I want to win your love but know it's better off not to be
So I ask
What is it that I want from you?
