Unknown Bloodline - Chapter 9

The fight between the Vampires and Hunters happens and Jadzia does something she really shouldn't have.
I wasn't sure how long sleep claimed me this time, but I doubted it was very long. I'd been woken up by something, that much I could tell. Looking around the room, I noticed that I was pretty much by myself. Ryan and Ava were there, but most of the others that had been present before, weren't there now. There was little question where they'd gone or why, though. I could still hear fighting and knew that the Hunters were still there. I had to do something besides just lay there. So, I got up out of bed and started moving for the door. I didn't care if there were more tests that Ryan and/or Ava wanted to do.

Once at the door I started running towards the sound of the fighting, despite hearing Ava calling out to come back. I did my best to avoid running into other vampires, who seemed to be scattered and running around like crazy. I kept moving, not totally sure where I'd end up, following the sounds. After a while, I got out outside and saw the vampires I'd met when I first got there as well as Evan and my parents.

I moved closer and saw a good amount of Hunters there too. There were vampires and Hunters fighting, being thrown around, Hunters using weapons on the vampires, that kind of thing. Instead of just standing around and watching to see who was winning or whatever, I went and decided to go after the Hunter that was closest to me. After all, he was trying to come after me. So, I started fighting the best I could. When I did, I found that I was doing fairly well, I was actually able to handle the Hunter. At one point, I started feeling a little drained or something. I wasn't sure what it was exactly. I thought I was fine, but it felt like the Hunter was stronger than I was. Even though I felt like maybe the Hunter had the upper hand on me, I still tried to fight.

At one point, I heard someone coming over to me. I didn't know who it was, didn't even try to look around. Out of nowhere, I felt something hit me pretty hard. It made me angry, and some of the strength I had lost returned. It helped somewhat, and I fought the next two Hunters that came at me. Evan and my parents both showed up suddenly, helping me. I was really glad. They asked me why I was out here fighting but I didn't tell them much, just that I felt the need to.

A couple of other Hunters came over and started fighting us as well. Eventually it got to be a little much for me and Evan noticed that. My parents did their best to keep the Hunters of us so Evan could get me inside, out of harm's way. It went fine for a little while, before he ended up getting injured. We were moving along pretty well, but then Evan fell over. Who injured him I couldn't tell, but I know I felt it too. I didn't know what to do but stay where I was for a bit, remaining near him in case a Hunter tried to hurt him again. But there was also the whole thing of me feeling a bit weakened.

At one point, I looked around and noticed that the Hunters were retreating. When all the Hunters were gone, both Evan and I were brought inside to the infirmary. I not too happy about it and didn't stay in there too long. I was quickly looked over and given a clean bill of health at least on the outside. Evan was the one who needed the help most. They worked on him, looking for injuries. The more experienced vampires removed any holy water coated silver bullets that hit him. I was sitting in a chair right next to him. It wasn't like I was going anywhere anyway.

Hey everyone, sorry for not posting a new chapter until now. Had severe writer's block, then a power outage, and been busy. But the chapter's up now.
