University Education in India

Knowledge has always been the key to a forward movement in a society. Knowledge empowers clear thought better understanding of the surroundings and key process. It is a doorway to an economic success and shapes a Nation or set of people in all civic sense as well.
It is not for economic development an education system is a guiding light to sound rational attitude to life. It ensures that citizens of a country do not get trapped in radical ideologies as is happening in many countries. Nations lack progress which have ignored institutional development. This is due to scant regard in developing sound educational system and universities.
India has wisely given top priority to education and hence development of educational institutions, universities and schools that deliver multiple courses. All successive governments in India have given priority to university education and as such have been continuously developing professional institutions.
Educational institutions, research centers and management schools are the key focus on which a knowledge based economy can be successfully created. Populace with highly qualified academics is a must to fuel technology based enterprises in India pertaining to all sectors. In order to succeed economically, and rise as an economic power horse globally, the thrust should be on constantly creating educational institutions that deliver quality and relevant education.
As per UGC (University Grants commission) there is still a great demand for universities which at present nears three hundred including deemed universities. India requires five times more university in the country to provide educational facility to its burgeoning population.
A multidisciplinary educational institution should define an Indian university for delivering education in the country. Indian universities with top class research facility are a must to compete with educational institutions all over the world. The quality of education and widespread facilities that deliver at minimal cost is a priority today. With rise in multidisciplinary educational organizations the progress of the country will be ensured. This would result in highly trained technologically savvy pool of man power that would provide progressive thrust to industries in India.
