Unforgotten Love - Chapter 13

After Nick left I thought about what he said. Obviously he really likes Savannah but I know deep down he still likes me. After a while I thought of something.

After thinking if I should I do it or not I texted Josh.

"Hey. This is Rachel. I kinda have a favor to ask you."

Josh responded a few minutes later, "What is it?"

I thought about it, I would be ruining Nick's relationship. I quickly shooed the thought away and continued texting him, "Do you know my friend Savannah?"

Josh said yes and I continued, "Could you flirt with her?"

Josh sounded confused, "Why?"

"Just do it please?" He said he would and we stopped talking.

I woke up for school and got ready. I got to school earlier than I normally do and grabbed my books and went to class. By the time I got there most of the kids were already sitting in their seats. As Josh said he would, he was talking to Savannah.

I couldn't really tell what they were talking about but it didn't stop me from trying to listen.

It was around 8 o'clock and still there was no sign of Savannah. She said she would come over after seeing Nick.

I picked up my phone and called Nick. After a few rings he answered.

"Hey."

Nick sounded like he was crying and really upset. "What's wrong?" I asked immediately.

Hearing Nick cry was making me regret telling Josh to flirt with Savannah.

"Savannah broke up with me for another guy."

I didn't say anything at all. It made me feel terrible. I never thought how it would make Nick feel. I was so selfish and now I can't take it back.

"Do you want to come over?" Nick told me that he was going to and we hung up the phone.

I waited in my room for him to come. A few minutes later he knocked on my door and walked in. "I'm so sorry, Nick." I could see that he was holding back tears. "I knew you really liked her."

He didn't say anything and laid on my bed. I sat in my chair. I felt really horrible. All I wanted was to have Nick. I never wanted for him to be upset.

"The worst part is that I just tried to be the best boyfriend I could be and she leaves me for another guy."

"I'm really sorry." I didn't know what to say.

"Rachel?" He said after a moment of silence.

"Yeah."

"Will you lay next to me? I really need you." I laid down but not too close.

After of hours of watching movies I got Nick to feel a little bit better. He wasn't acting like normal but he did laugh sometimes and talk more.

All I wanted to do was make him feel better. It was my fault that this happened it's the least I can do.

"Can I ask you something?" Nick asked.

I nodded my head and he continued. "Why did you kiss me that one day?"

I blushed. "Do you want the truth?" I laughed a little.

"Of course."

"I really like you, Nick. I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have done that."

Nick looked like he wanted to say something. "What?" I asked.

"Nothing." He looked away.

"No! Tell me!" I whined.

"Okay, don't be sorry. I loved kissing you."

I smiled. "I liked it too." We both became silent.

I then asked Nick something I shouldn't have. "What if I said I want to be your girlfriend?" The second I said it I regretted it.

"Umm, If it was a few weeks ago I would have loved for you to be my girlfriend. It's just too soon."

I looked down and Nick could tell that I was upset.

"I'm not saying I don't want you. I'm just saying wait for me Rachel." Nick lifted up my face and slowly kissed me.
