Unforbidden Love - Chapter Four
This is chapter four of my story. I'm guessing it is ok because I'm not getting negative feedback from people.
Once Ella calmed down from the shock. She decided that she wanted to go to the sea on her own for a bit. It took her a while to get her mom to agree with it and soon she was outside walking towards the beach. Since she was little, Ella has always come to the beach to think things though. Walking on the soft sand Ella started to look for the spot where she sits every time she goes there. After hunting for the spot Ella sat down, started to think about what has happened, and tries to fix things together to make it sound better than it is.
Ella fell backwards on the sand and wished that the sea would take her away from this horrible place that she lives in. Looking towards the path she sees a figure that stood watching her, sitting up to check again, she didn't just see the figure but that it is moving towards her. Turning around to pretend that she hasn't seen him and whispering, "Don't come to me, don't come to me," the figure is getting closer and closer. And soon Ella could make out that the figure was a male and was wearing a long brown coat and a hat low down.
So that his face was in the dark so she couldn't tell who he was. She started to worry, she started to think of the vampire that came up to her dad and Mr. Gardener and started to think that this might be a vampire. Still looking the other way and not seeing what the figure was doing. She closed her eyes and said to herself making sure that he couldn't hear him, "Leave me alone go away," but when she turned round the man was sat next to her.
"Such a great scene isn't it Ella?" Started the figure when he sat down. Ella knew the voice as soon as he started.
"Thought you couldn't come out when its light?" She said but looking at the ocean.
"I can but I don't want people to see me or I'll be on the run from the people and from my aunt," came his reply.
"Why would you think that I couldn't come out when its light?" He said while turning to face her.
"Erm no reason just an image I got from you."
"Let me guess Jenny told you about me? Oh Ella I thought you out of all people were different." David sighed as he shook his head slowly.
"Different? I am different... I mean I'm not different? What do you mean I don't understand," confusion written all over her face. At this point David was stood and walking towards the ocean. He turned around lifted his hat up slightly to see Ella's face.
"No you're not Ella. Why does everyone think that vampires cannot walk in light, we can."
Now Ella was stood and running to catch up to David.
"If you can come out during the day, why haven't I seen you before and why did you come round at night?"
David was now at the ocean's end. The water was covering his feet like a blanket.
"I am always out, I hate being in the house, I was just well hidden from everyone, and if you remember I was the one kidnapping the children, I wanted to create fear into everyone's hearts, It made the game more fun." Ella was stood next to him now and could see David's face turn to a smile but for some reason Ella could tell he was faking it.
"Why did you kidnap the children? And when they finally come home, they are different like they are not themselves anymore what did you do?" Ella was now getting more questions that she needed to answer and time was running short.
"I did it so that the parents would think that their children were dead to give them a taste of the life. I have put up with without my dad, and don't worry about them I have released them all. All I did was erased their memories of what was happening and sent them home they will find them in couple of weeks," David sighed.
"I'm sorry, Ella I didn't want to scare the children I was just... Showing..." He trailed off as he looked at the sunset.
"It's beautiful. I can't remember the last time I watched the sunset."
"I know, I come here whenever I get into a fight with my parents... Shoot I forgot I need to get back or I won't be allowed out until I die." Ella stood up and turned to face the way she came at the same time David stood and grabbed hold of Ella's waist.
"What you doing?"
"Allow me Ella."
Before she could say anything Ella found she was lifted and was running faster than she knew was possible. Before long Ella found herself outside her door with David still holding her.
"You ok Ella?"
"Yeah I'm fine... I think," she said straitening her hair.
"How on earth..."
"I ran."
Ella turned to face David who now had a huge grin on his face. Seeing this Ella couldn't stop herself laughing.
"Thanks, it got me home quicker, next time tell me then I could stay out longer." Ella said still laughing.
"You're welcome ma' lady," David bowed and stepped back.
"Until next time Ella," and with one last flash of his smile he was gone leaving Ella on her own once more.
