Under the Midnight Sky: Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2:

Sorry it`s kinda short compared to the others but I want Miranda`s re-encounter with Victoria to be special and the next will have a little bit in Oscar and Ben`s POV.

Miranda POV:

I went to my apartment, took a quick shower and got ready. When I was dressed and ready to leave, I took one glance at my apartment. Empty, shallow, pale and lifeless, I thought. But hey what did you expect when any moment you would have to leave everything. I left and got to the club (Sapphire) Bonnie had told me about and went inside. While entering I noticed a bunch of guys staring at me. I was HOT and I knew it, sometimes that helped me get out of certain situations. I saw Bonnie and other women from the office and made my way to their table.

"Hey" - I said.

"OMG you`re finally here. I thought you would bail on us like last time. BTW, you look hot. "- Bonnie said while handing me a glass of wine.

"Of course not, I told you last time I forgot and thank you so do you". - I said. Sitting down next to Bonnie and Gloria, the receptionist.

We were just talking, when Bonnie asked me to accompany her to the bathroom. While we were making our way across the dance floor, I noticed someone looking at me. When I turned to see who it was I saw a cute, wait not cute, drop dead gorgeous man looking at me. Then I noticed he looked familiar to me, but just as I was trying to figure out from where did I knew someone like him, I glanced at the entrance (nervous habit outta sooo many years of running) but I wished I hadn't. Just entering the club were none other than my brother Oscar and his slut of a mate, Karla. I panicked so I just rushed into the bathroom. Now what was I going to do??? I mean I could escape but what if he already knew I was here then that would be useless. Ugh now I don't know what to do. I felt helpless. I got out of the bathroom and just stayed there praying that they
would leave. When all of a sudden I hear the most beautiful voice call my name. When I turned around I saw the god-like man from before.

"Ummm hi" - I said nervous (but of course who would`nt be?)

"Miranda, wow I have`nt seen you in quite a while you look amazing" - said the guy.

I just loved how he said my name. Wait he said my name!!!!!, he knows me but how????????

"I`m sorry but do I know you??? " - I asked..

He chuckled. "Oh come on Miranda don`t tell me you don`t remember me" - he said. I shook my head. And he just sighed. " I`m Ben, Victorias brother remember the one who helped you escape Azara 50 years ago. " - he said

"OMG Ben, I can`t believe it`s you. " - I said hugging him. Thank god he`s vampire or else I would`ve choked him. - "so how are you and how`s Victoria. Where is she?? Are you guys okay??? Oh god I wanna see her" - I said really fast. (it happens when i get excited).

"Hold on Miranda, I`m fine and so is Vicky, she`s staying in a hotel and yes we are okay. If you wanna see her I can take you to her now".- he said.

"Of course let me get my purse and my coat, I left them at the table. I`ll be back in like 3 minutes" - I said

But just as I was turning, Ben grabbed my arm, pulled me close to him and whispered in my ear. "You look extremely sexy in that dress. "

I blushed around 10 shades of red. I mean I knew I looked hot but the way he said it sent shivers through my spine in a good way. I got my stuff and told the girls I was leaving. Of course they did`nt want me to go but when they saw Ben over at the entrance staring the kinda assumed I was leaving with him. Which was true just not in the way they were thinking. I was only going to see his sister. I thought. But maybe one day...... Nah I just mentally shook my head that would never happen.

As I made my way out, I saw my brother and the SLUT sitting in a table, she was staring at something in front of her on the table (probably something shiny she thinks is pretty), but Oscar must of sensed I was staring at him course he glanced up. He was giving a surprised but happy stare at which I returned with a cold one. I saw him frown but Karla started saying something and he turned to look at her.

I meet Ben at the door and we left. I could`nt handle my brother now, plus I had a best friend to go visit.
