Under the Midnight Sky: Chapter 1 Part 2
She thought she had a somewhat normal life until her past catches up with her and forces her to choose between her friends, her family and the man she loves.
The next day -- Miranda got up preparing herself, today she was of to Azara, leaving her family behind just cause some girl doesn't like her.
At the gate she said her goodbyes to her mother and her little sister Namida. But when her brother got close to give her a hug she stepped back
What's wrong Miranda? - asked Oscar confused
Save your hugs for the slut of Karla- said Miranda coldly and bitterly and with that she got into the carriage that would take her to her prison.
Once in Azara, Miranda was changed into the uniform all prisoners wore and stayed in her cell. Then she heard someone whistle. She looked at the cell across from hers and in it she say a small child, she looked like she was just 7 but her pale complexion revealed her a vampire.
My names Victoria and yours? - she asked
I'm Miranda - Miranda said staring at the girl
Why are you in here Miranda - asked Victoria
They said I killed someone but I didn't and you? - asked Miranda curious about the childs crime.
Victoria giggled and then said - I did kill someone, apparently important that's why I'm here. But I doesn't matter cuz I'm going to escape soon, you wanna come?
Miranda thought it wouldn't be wise to escape but then again in 20 years when she returned everybody would probably treat her like a freak so what has she got to lose.
Ok I will go with you - said Miranda
Great, we escape tonight so be alert I will whistle when my partner in crime comes to get us- said Victoria giggling - I can't wait to leave all this.
Miranda lay on her bed, she hadn't even been there one day and she was already going to escape but then again she didn't care. She fell asleep saving energy for that night.
5 hours later she and Victoria had escaped now they were running through the woods with Victoria's partner-brother. They ran for hours until they ended up in a cabin somewhere in Canada.
That was close - Victoria's brother Benedict or just Ben
Yeah it was but we are safe now right? - Miranda asked
Yeah it's okay here - said Victoria calmly
So now what? - Miranda asked
Now we have to fix you a fake id - said Victoria - Ben start working on that ok.
Yeah sure ill be done in a few hours - said Ben leaving to one of the rooms
Thank you so much - Miranda said.
Don't worry, we are friends aren't we, that's what friends do. - said Victoria smiling
They started sharing stories for a while until Ben came back.
Here you go, your new name is Linda Lopez - said Ben giving Miranda a bunch of papers - I hope you like.
Thanks Ben - Miranda said taking the papers, just that she felt his skin so cold against her and she blushed so embarrassed by the way it made her feel - yeah thanks so much for helping me.
After that the attraction between Miranda and Ben grew, luckily for both they soon departed, although not without Miranda promising Victoria to keep in touch. And that's when it started her life of going from place to place.
Flashback to present.
Miranda sat in her chair remembering, when her secretary-best friend Bonnie came in.
Miranda working late again, will you never stop, ugh what am I saying I know that answer, anyway I was wondering if you like to go with me and the girls to the new club? - asked Bonnie always perky.
Yeah sure ill go just let me wrap up in here and go to my loft to change, ill meet you there ok? - said Miranda not really wanting to stay home doing nothing.
Ok see you there - said Bonnie leaving her once again alone.
Well a night of fun won't hurt anybody. Or would it?
