Under the Light Of a Full Moon - Ch 4

Here's chapter 4 :) hope u guys like it. Leave comments and tell me what you think. Ooh here's a pic of sophies dress. I know its kinda late but oh well lol.
My mouth dropped and my eyes widened. I'm pretty sure I looked like a deer in headlights. "What...You want,,, Why? What about Marcus?" I managed to stutter out. My father wasn't just an alpha. He was the top alpha. The one the Marrock's reported to. Everyone else was below him in rank. And here he was asking me to be at the top with him. It was overwhelming. "Marcus is dead." My father said with a sad look on his face. Marcus had been my father's second for as long as I can remember. He was like a second father to me. The one person who I could turn to when I couldn't tell my family something. The one person who understood what I was going through. Tears started running down my face. I was glad I wore my water-proof make-up. Tyler and my father both put their arm around me. I leaned into Tyler's shoulder. "Shhh Sophie. It's ok. Shhh." Tyler whispered in my ear. Tyler has always been my rock, my lifeline. He has always had a way to calm me down when nothing or anyone else could. After a few minutes my tears stopped.

"When? Who? How?" I asked my father. "It happened about two weeks ago in Scotland. As for who, we don't know. We never found him. And as for the how, he was injected with silver nitrate. And was decapitated." My father said his voice getting angry. My father was a very scary man when he was angry. My brothers say I got my anger problem from him but I know I'm not as bad as he is. "I will find him and kill him slowly." I said my voice full of determination. "Sophie!" My mother and Anna gasped. My mother knows how I am but Anna doesn't yet. "Sorry mama" I say. "We can talk about Marcus later. Now. The reason why I want you as second is because you are more dominant than both of your brothers. And my second needs to be a dominant person. The people in my family here are the most dominant of our kind. Not only that but you are more responsible than them too." My father says. "Hey! We resent that last remark!" Sean and Tyler at the same time. "I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true my sons. Plus Sophie. You are the white wolf." Ah yes. How did I know that was coming.

The legendary white and black wolves. The yin and yang of our kind. "But Tyler is the black wolf." I say to my father. The white and black wolves are said to be the most special pair out there. Tyler and I are the second pair in all existence to be black and white. The first pair is said to be the mother and father of us all. Females are the white and males are the black. There is never more than one white or black wolf at a time. Other wolves that look black and white aren't completely the solid color. Most have a different color somewhere on their bodies. Tyler and I are solid white and black. The white wolf can see the future and the black wolf can see the past. And when both are in sync they can see the present as it is happening. It could be about a single person or an entire country. That is why they are special and why anyone would love to get their hands on both. They have the power to help or destroy a country with their knowledge.

"Yes. He is but he is already the second to the mangy son of a bitch that runs North America. Plus Sophie, my family is the only people I can truly trust right now." My father says. I knew my father had trust problems. He was too old and too alpha not to. But I never realized it was this bad. I sigh. "Ok papa. I'll do it. However I won't move back home. My life is here now. I have a good job and friends here." I say. My father stays silent for a few minutes. "Very well. But you must come back every weekend. The day the full moon is too. Don't worry about the tickets for the planes. I'll have our private jet come pick you up every Friday night." He says. Spend every week in Paris, France? I can do that. "Ok papa. I agree." I say. "Wonderful! Ah mon cherie. You have made me very happy!" he exclaims.

He reaches over and wraps me in one of his warm, strong, safe embraces. When I was a young girl, those arms promised a safety that always make me feel like I didn't have to worry about anything. And with my father I knew it was true. My mother and father were ancients. Werewolves who were the children of the first werewolves. Which is why my family is so dominant and why my father is the top alpha. There are only four ancients left not including my father and mother. It's also why me and my brother are the white and black wolves. Children among immortals were rare. Especially among werewolves. So few children are born are protected at all costs. And now, over 500 years later I still feel the same. I pull out of my father's embrace in time to see our food arriving. We ate and talked about everything that happened in the past seventy-five years.

I mentioned the latest attack that happened earlier today. When I mentioned the young girl, my mother gasped and my father and Sean both growled low in their throats. "Who would dare to harm an innocent child!?" my father exclaimed. "I don't know. But when I do, I'll find him and kill him slowly." I say. "Sophie, I thought that you stopped. That was the reason you left home wasn't it?" my father said. Truth was, before I left home, I was my father's assassin; his enforcer. When rogues started running wild or someone broke the law, my father sent me to dispatch of them. I got tired of killing so I left. Tyler was also his enforcer but it took him a while longer to leave home. We were the perfect team. Swift and efficient.

No one compared. We were the ultimate killing team but once you have been killing others for 500 years it takes a huge toll. Which is why I left home and moved to the U.S. "I did. But I will not allow a mutt who attacked a child to live." I tell my father. "I understand. After the meeting tomorrow night I will leave a few pack members here to help you. They will be some of my very best." My father says. "Now wait just a minute," Tyler says, "this event happened on my packs soil. This is our business father. My alpha would be furious." My father frowned. "Now listen here son. Your little mutt of an alpha doesn't scare me anymore than a butterfly does. He has only been alpha for fifty years. He has only been alive for 300 or so. So to us he isn't but a mere pup! I dare him to tell me what I can and can't do!" My father exclaims. His voice getting louder and more menacing with each word. I look at Tyler and Tyler has gone completely white in the face. I figured I should help out my twin some. "Shhh papa." I say.

My father is one person you don't want to get angry. "Hey papa I have an idea. Why don't we all go take a run together after we get done eating." I say. "Great idea mon cherie!" my father says. His bad mood vanishing almost completely. "It's been so long since we've had a family run. And now we have a new member." He says and smiles at Anna. "Well I'm done eating." Sean says. Turns out everyone is. "Lets pay and get out of here." I say
