Christina's P.O.V.

My eyes slowly opened and I was looking at Derek. It had been two weeks since the trial and I couldn't believe I had been blessed with such a great man. I stared up at him smiling. He had his arm around me and in his other hand was a flower he was playing with. We were sitting under one of the beautiful oak trees in the park. He looked like he was glowing with the sunlight behind him. He dropped the flower when he saw me staring up at him.
'Are you nervous about tomorrow?' I ask softly.
'No.' he assures me. 'I finally get baptized and I'm really exited.'
'Great.' I sigh. I had a flashback of the same boy five months ago. The pale boy with dark rings around his eyes. The boy with long black hair that now was cut decently and his skin tone was a nice tan color. his eyes were bright and pure. I sighed snuggling into his arms again. I closed my eyes, seeing my pink eyelids being brightened by the sun.
'I love you' he whispers into my ear.
'I love you too.' I whisper back.
'Your beautiful' he reminds me. I just sighed, shakily, of the way his breath brushed against my neck. 'Your perfect.'
'I'm the last thing from perfect.' I chuckled not opening my eyes. He kissed my neck up onto my cheek and met my lips. When I pulled away he said,
'Have I told you I love you and your perfect and beautiful?' I chuckled.

Derek's P.O.V.
Next Day

I looked out into the crowd to see Christina sitting front row watching me with a breathtaking smile. I smiled back and was baptized. I felt... newly born, fresh, clean... clean of everything I'd done bad.
Clean of the
Drugs
Alcohol
Stealing
Murdering
and everything else bad I did.
Christina saved my life.
She was the one to introduce me to Jesus.
Jesus saved my life.
I looked above to see the cross thinking,
This is going to be a great, new life.
