Uma Thurman Engaged
Actress Uma Thurman’s rep has confirmed that she is engaged to her boyfriend of almost a year, Arpad "Arki" Busson.

The engagement was first reported by New York’s Daily News after Thurman was spotted sporting a huge rock on her ring finger. Thurman’s rep, Stephen Huvane, announced Friday, "I can confirm she is engaged," Swiss financier Busson reportedly surprised Thurman with a beautiful 8-plus carat center stone that is surrounded by 20 smaller stones. A source reportedly said, "It’s the most beautiful piece I’ve ever seen. Arki did a wonderful job." The couple is reportedly already planning their wedding, but no wedding date has been released yet.
Thurman, 38, and Busson, 44, began dating last summer after meeting at a private dinner in Milan and have built a relationship despite living with an ocean in between them. Thurman lives in New York City and Busson resides in London. Thurman said in an interview earlier this year that she visits Busson twice a month in London. She said she still live sin New York "for the sake of my dear children. So they’re not subject to adolescent homelessness from me."
This will be the third marriage for the Kill Bill actress who was married to actor Gary Oldman for two years before calling it quits in 1992. She then married actor Ethan Hawke in 1998. The couple has two children – Maya, 9, and Levon, 6. They divorced in 2004 amid rumors of Hawke’s infidelity. Busson has two children – Flynn, 10, and Cy, 5 – with his ex supermodel Elle Macpherson. The couple became engaged in August 2002, but split nearly three years later.
