Ulrich in Love : The Wrath of Jade
Sorry I haven't updated all this time!! I was so busy but I get to update today so :HERE YOU GO!! I may do I rewrite because I had to write this quickly!! Please leave a comment and enjoy!!
When he woke for the second time that day, he felt a lot better. The smarting, throbbing headache was history, but he still felt a little empty, since he hadn't eaten anything since the night before. The last thing he wanted was to walk around the house on a Saturday night, with an empty stomach. It just wasn't going to happen. Just before he could put on some nice clothes so the fashion geeks out there wouldn't attack him in tabloids ( he always said they were no different from bullies, taunting people because the way they dressed wasn't to their liking), his blackberry rang scaring the living hell out of him and shattering the nice, quiet peace that had been his evening. "Hello," he said, pushing the phone to his ear. It was Matthew Ireland , the guy who had slept with a woman in his bed and didn't even bother to change the sheets. Good ( for nothing) Matt. " Dude, you should totally come out tonight. There's gonna be girls , more girls, and get this naked girls, ha! Not to mention the best drinks on earth man. Since you are Hollywood's new heartthrob , you can get in for free -"
"Matt, listen to me. I've had enough problems with women to last me an entire lifetime, and the place you are talking about , sounds like some sleazy strip joint. No."
" But-"
" Matt, I said no. Now , let me go get something to eat before I starve to death."
While Matthew was still talking , Adam hung up the phone, and headed out through the main hall to the garage. The garage didn't look like a garage, but a showroom. The floors, which were shiny as marble and just as fine, had not a trace of oil on them, and the light source over head was a chandelier, made up entirely of crystal. He sighed at the three cars that were parked in flying V formation: The new Mercedes, the best in its class, followed by the dazzling BMW, candy apple red and the burgundy and chrome Bentley. All the new sparkling cars counted for naught when there was no one to permanently fill the passenger seat. He chose the Bentley and started the car by remote and backed out of the garage, slowly. Behind him where a group of paparazzi, and another group of scantily clad women, all big heads and small bodies. "Oh my gosh, It's Adam Ulrich! I love you Adam Ulrich, you are everything to me! I want to marry you ! I want to be your wife and the mother of your baby!" All the same things he had heard before , all the same questions that he never wanted to answer. The horribly fake declarations of love that were only momentary infatuation. When the next best thing rolled around, he would be pushed to the side , but would still be in the tabloids. The next best thing would feel exactly as he felt ; like the "good life" was a blessing from god, only to age and realize that it was a curse disguised. He sighed. I think way too much, he thought. He continued to back out , only raising down the window to wave and smile, laughing as if having your personal life broadcast to the world was fabulous. He continued to back away, raising the window up and scowling. Then, he sped off .
The towering buildings of downtown were set ablaze by the evening sun; cars glinted as the drove on the freeway and the air smelled like the night should smell. Dirty and hot with a hint of car exhaust and motor oil. To Adam Ulrich, driving on the freeway was something equivalent to privacy; there were no paparazzi harassing you and no obsessed fans trying to assault you. It was just the cars and the freeway with its loops and turns. Some of the cars, to him were like people. There were old cars that had paint chipped from them in places, there were new cars ( not very many expensive cars like Bentley or Porsche, but there were a few) and then there were social climbing cars that liked to mingle and mix with Hollywood's young and pretty crowd. The cars that were named Misty or Melissa, or whatever the hell that watch thieving trick's name was.
He took a breath , and kept his eyes on the road, but without his watch on his wrist, there was something missing. He would have to call the famous watchmaker that lived in Italy to hand craft him a new duplicate of the one that was stolen. He began to think of how the watch glinted in the sun when he went out, how people starred at his wrist. He remembered when a little old lady had grabbed his hand and called him her husband and smiled." Oh darling Adam, you forgot to come home last night. You still seeing that woman!?" she had yelled at him. He laughed and tried his hardest to get away , but the little old woman's grip was just-
" OH SHIT!" Adam yelled , turning the steering wheel to the left so he wouldn't slam into the car in front of him. The car was a red Honda that had idled at a stop light, and he was just seconds away from hitting it from behind. " N-nooooo!" He screamed as the car slammed into the Honda, sending it into the intersection. The other cars had dodged the Honda, luckily, and the driver jumped out just as Adam did. He felt the heat rise to his face as he walked up to him, already expecting her to forgive him and smile in his face and ask for an autograph, but that wasn't the case with the woman who had gotten out of the car. She looked as if she was about to battle a dragon , focused on nothing but thing the destruction of the man who had hit her car. "Hi, I'm Adam Ulrich -"
"I don't care who the hell you are! You hit my car you asshole!! What the hell is your problem , can't you see?" Her voice was deep , but feminine deep, it reminded him of a candle lit room and champagne. He was taken aback by her sudden anger. Other people where getting out of their cars and looking at him , some smiling, somewhere star truck with hearts popping out of their eyes. " OMG! It's the sexy Adam Ulrich !" a man yelled , putting his hand to his heart. Adam smiled and waved to the man , a little laugh escaping from his throat. Other people began to chatter excitedly to each other, some grabbed each others hands and gave little screams , other's standing stock still instead of the small woman who stood at five feet and three inches , glaring at him with her arms crossed over her chest. He couldn't help but stare at her. He had never seen a woman so mad at him before with glaring eyes and full lips that were pressed together in a line. It turned him on a bit. " Oh , um , well I could buy you a new car. You can drive my BMW. Just please don't yell at me ." he said , looking at her with pleading , green eyes. She didn't look fazed. " I live three hours away from here, and I haven't eaten all day and I really need to get home. And I don't want to drive your damn car!" she yelled again. There were vans approaching now, paparazzi crowding around, people cheering. The public was all too stupid. They were happy because he got in a damn wreck. He sighed.
"Ma'am, look-"
"No you look! My name is not "ma'am". It's Jade." Ulrich wanted to laugh , the face she was making was so cute , especially because of her cute puffy cheeks and warm brown eyes that were narrowed at him. She had smooth dark brown skin , and Adam just wanted to touch her shoulder , which was broad. He liked her. " Well , Jade , what would you like to do now?" he questioned , giving off one of his million dollar smiles that had gotten him out of countless DUI situations. She narrowed her eyes even more , until they were little slits. He wanted to kiss her. " I want to go home. Now." she stated. Adam held up a hand. "It's done ." he said , taking the blackberry from his pocket and calling Matthew. Matthew answered , talking as loud as he could over the loud music in the background. " Hey man, did you change your mind or something?"
"I need you to come pick me up at the intersection, right off the freeway. Make sure you are dressed appropriately and smell clean. That's all dude."
"What , you got in a wreck or something?"
"Unfortunately , or maybe fortunately,' he winked at Jade, " yes. I did."
Matthew gave a little sigh and told someone "that's enough ," and hung up. Adam put his phone back in his pocket and said " Now , all there is left to do is , smile , wave and be my girlfriend." Jade look like she had just seen a ghost and asked him to repeat himself. " Oh, I said all we have to do is wait for my driver to arrive and come pick us up. You can give me the directions when he gets here. Now , for you and me-"
"That's good." Jade turned her back to Adam Ulrich and began to survey the damage to her Honda. Adam Ulrich , the man that was used to loads of attention from everybody , was offended that a mere woman had turned her back on him. He didn't get it. Why wasn't she all over him like the other women at the big Hollywood parties where? She was just playing hard to get. Or so he thought. " Hey , Jade , don't worry about that. I'll take care of you and the car. How about dinner , me and you tonight. Before we wrecked I was on my way to a quiet little restaurant . I know you haven't eaten all day , so , what do you say? Huh?" He was really trying here. Her face , soft and cute , looked so kissable to him. Maybe if he got her some food or something, maybe, just maybe , she would be willing to go home with him...
" No , I'd rather eat by myself, thank you." Adam was shot down. What the hell was this chick's problem? He was Adam Ulrich , for crying out loud , he got anything he wanted. Maybe there was a glitch in her personality; Or maybe she was a lesbian. Adam vowed that he would investigate that when they arrived at her house.
A few minutes later , Matthew pulled up , the pretty red BMW glistening in the flashing lights of the cop cars. He was smiling at some woman in the passenger seat. He thought he would be a gentleman and open the door for Jade , who slid inside without even looking at him. He ran around the car and gave the huge crowd that had gathered around them , a wave and then slipped inside , slamming the door after him. " Some crowd you got yourself huh, Ulrich?" Matthew asked, his eyes starring at Jade. The woman in the passenger seat cleared her throat loudly and shot Matthew a glare, who righted himself and sped off.
"Matt, listen to me. I've had enough problems with women to last me an entire lifetime, and the place you are talking about , sounds like some sleazy strip joint. No."
" But-"
" Matt, I said no. Now , let me go get something to eat before I starve to death."
