Tyra Banks Announces End of The Tyra Show

Tyra Banks is going to end The Tyra Show after five seasons in 2010 to focus on her film production company and other projects.
Tyra Banks is going to end a pretty successful run of her daily talk show in 2010 and she's going to instead focus her energy and resources on Bankable Studios, her film production company. "This will be the last season of The Tyra Show," Banks told People Magazine. "I've been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years."

Banks is ending the show in an effort to bring some of her philosophies and her girl-power message to the big screen. Obviously, there are a few franchises out there who have already done that, but Tyra seems to speak directly to certain types of women and she has been very successful in crafting her shows to serve a certain niche.

America's Next Top Model has been very successful and is currently set to air its 15th season in February. With that in mind, it's a safe bet that we'll still be seeing plenty of Tyra in our lives.

And despite whether you are a fan of Tyra or her shows, there is little room to dispute that her message is a positive one for most young women. She attempts to instill confidence and a belief in oneself, even using tough love and constructive criticism to do so. She preaches accountability and being true to oneself. Her message is applicable not just to young women, but to all people who are struggling to find confidence and strength.
