Two Lives, One Friendship, No Regrets - xi. (cont'd)
Two friends. When timing kills the perfect moment.
When he looked up he locked eyes with Georgia. She looked absolutely beautiful that he couldn’t move from where he stood. Unfortunately that meant he was still holding onto Fresca, whom he had just told the story of his lunch with Georgia. She had just given him the greatest idea ball. And it’s time he got the ball rolling.
Phoenix looked down at Fresca to excuse himself but when he began to walk towards the door, Georgia was gone. Inwardly he groaned as the emcee chose that exact moment to call upon him for his speech.
He wasn’t sure if she still had her cell phone connected but he decided to send her a text anyway.
"Thanks for making it, G!
It really meant a lot to me.
Wish you could’ve stayed.

P.S. - Merry Christmas! Love you!"
