Turn the Page

Life's pages fly by.
A lonely night I shall sit
Wonder how I do fit
In this world shattered by
An unforgiving windless sky

Sitting in a park I sigh
Looking at the day that died
Hair is tossed in playful sorrow
I dread the dawning of tomorrow

The stars twinkle little hopes
Children see through telescopes
How the world can still give wonder
Even though we only blunder

I feel the darkness all around
The orchestra of night peacefully sounds
The countryside glitters it's rural charm
It never did anyone any harm

I find that as the day does age
It can heal my burning rage
Life is like a book engaged
So move on turn the page.
