Turmeric Tea Recipe

Turmeric tea can be made using the powdered spice. It is also available in instant forms. If you are fond of green tea, turmeric tea is also available with green tea combination. Normally ginger is combined with turmeric to make tea. If you do not like the taste of honey, maple syrup can also be added to the tea.

Ingredients
  • Water 4 cups
  • Turmeric Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Honey as per taste
  • Lemon Slice 1
Method
  • In a small pot bring 4 cups of water to a boil. The water should come to a full boil.
  • Add turmeric powder and ginger powder to the boiling water, reduce the heat and let the tea simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Letting the tea simmer for 8 to 10 minutes will extract all the beneficial compounds present in turmeric.
  • Remove the pot from heat and strain the tea, so that all the turmeric and ginger particles are filtered out.
  • Add honey as per your taste to the tea and also a slice a lemon. Both honey and lemon will make the tea palatable.
