"You are the sole reason for Silvia to turn out like this", Mark Hunter hurled at his wife.
"As if you were there at every step for her !", Kate replied with equal malice.
"She's out of her mind Kate. She just sits in her room, has no friends. I hear she even skips school and apparently for no reason."
"I think the reason could have something to do with you Mr. and Mrs. Hunter." Mark and Kate looked around at Sesame King. She was the psychoanalyst Silvia's grandmother had sent. Betty was convinced there was something drastically wrong with her granddaughter.
"Wh - what do you mean Sesame?", Kate said, anger blazing through her eyes.
"Had you been there for her , she would not have turned out thus."
"We have always been there for her. Only her brother's death a year ago affected her badly , but we never left her side then", Mark interrupted her.
"Then you tell me the reason why your daughter is .. Is content on living with herself, and talking to herself."
"you must be joking Sesame", Kate said icily. "Talking to herself ? Oh, please."
"you better believe it Mrs. Hunter. I have been observing her closely the past few weeks."
Unbelievable", Mark said.
"I could give you proof", Sesame said calmly. Silvia's case had affected her hugely, and she pined to know the reason for the little girl's strange behavior.
They went to her room. The door was opened just a little to reveal their thirteen year old adopted daughter.
Mark and Kate felt sorry for her, though they had in every way tried to coax her out of her silence, Putting their biological son's death beyond them, they had tried to help her.
They had failed.
Silvia was, as always sitting by the windowsill .
She was talking , as Sesame said in a low voice. Yet, there was no one around .
They listened more closely to the young girl's talk. And then -"Oh God", Mark breathed. "She thinks he's alive", said Kate, horrified.
