True Friends No Matter What

When we were young,
We spent all are times together,
As we where growing up nothing changed,
To our families it was you and I forever,
Until one day!
We've never seen this day coming,
When we were seven and ten,
We got separate,
We lost contact,
You moved away,
When we were 12 and 15 we seen again but you had forget about me,
To you now I was no one,
Couple weeks later,
I had barely lost my grand father,
At his funerals sitting on a bench with tears in my eyes,
You came up to beside me and put your hand on my shoulder and said with a smile,
"Hey girl, its normal to cry!",
To him it might have been but to me it wasn’t.
I got up and walked away,
He came and stopped me and said he had to talk,
Maybe it wasn’t the right time but it felt good.
We talked for a long time said he was sorry for the other and said he had to go.
It was the last time I seen him,
The last time I’ve heard of him,
But even today after almost 4 years I still remember his last words,
"Even if I’m not there for you, don’t ever forget, that I won’t ever forget you and all those good time we had, and don’t ever forget that I love you, and that I always will!"
I know what he said is true and I know we will be
Friends no matter what or where we will be in the future,
True friends one day, true friend the next, true friend no matter how long it has been.
